I really don't think you should be doing high intensity unless you are already in decent shape.
In high school we used to do 50yards/50yards; sprint/float
You don't really need a treadmill either as you can also do 8sec/12sec out on the street if you want to.
About to go do that right now actually. Not super high intensity but going to do 3min/1min out on the street about 85%/65% sprint speed.
