Got all the mixes listened to and my voting has been done.
May I just say that after a slighlty shaky start to the comp and the FTP faults at first, this has been a superb competeion and my thanks go to the organisers for making it so.
Until this comp I wasn't a trnce music type, it was fine in certain surroundings but i preferred the more dark, ambient stuff. But this has really made and helped me appriciate it alot more.
Now, I will spend 5 minutes sending my votes to Sphere, and over the next week or so, my comments to the competetors.
Don't be offended anyone if i come across sonding rude or subjective, it's merely a view, an observation. All the mixes had good points, alot had great points, a handfull had unforgetable moments of genius, some had points the mixer wishes he had edited lol.
It's all part of the fun and the thrill, I loved judging, and hopefully, next time, will compete in a free for all mix with an FTP getting sorted out (tOast?)
Nice one you lot!!!!!!!! |
don't worry mate, im my own worst critique, and you noticed that when you wrote me that pm you sent me.
cheers for the feedback.
listen to some of my newer stuff, its a bit better.
as for opening tracks, i ALWAYS do something special for these competitions. Last one was my stormy intro mix of Probspot - Blueberry, the one before I did DJ Commisad pres Dune - Emperor's Revenge, a nice little intro, which gets flowed into by salt tank's eugina. i can put that one back up one day if requested. tracklists are on my site (in my sig)

I don't mean to make you mad or something, but usualy this competition had a delay of about 2 weeks Anyway this time, I'll try to post the rankings in time, maybe a day or two later. Look at the other DJ Competiton they should have posted the results on 1st of Sept, but they posted just a few days ago. It's realy hard for the judges to get all the mixes scored in time. Though, I already recived scores from mr2gti and I think that MrMarcellos, DJ.MD and lolas123 will send their results preaty soon. I don't know about the others: JayM said he'll try to judge but he's not sure he can to it, garlick hasn't sent any feedback in ages (I even pm-ed him twice) and a few days I asked Ken_Allen if he is still up for judgeing so I'll know that I should wait for his scores or not and this is what he said:
| quote: | | Mad fucking boring listening to all these shit sets...but ok, I'll still judge. |
Even if he does judge, I won't take his scores in consideration, this should be fun and fair to all DJs, not just a quick listen to every set a few marks, that probably won't reflect the true.
So it looks like from those 7 judges, we'll have scores from 4 or 5.
