This year was prolly the best labour of love ive been too. From the music to the people, everything was perfect. GOt into the line around 11ish, and the outside entertainment was awsome. THe icecream lady was hilarious. She parked her cart then started rockin out in the street, to funny! Then of course having to deal with so many idiots trying to bud the line, but danielle was having none of that, good job dee!!
The KH was way to rammed for my liking but somehow stuck it out for all of armin, fuck i couldnt leave, i love the boy to much, and boy did he deliver. Nada....he fucking loves u girl! AFter armin made my way over to the Guv to check out Digweed. It was my first time seeing him and i loved it! He played some pretty dark shit but man can that guy mix. AFter digweed ventured up to the drink to get my fix of jungle, but couldnt deal. Way to packed and the crowd just put me in a bad mood so i went up to the skybar for a nice break. I was pissed i missed Hype and Andy C, but ah well theres always next time.
Ended my night with Ferry and he was killing it. PLayed some nice classics towards the end of his set which i appreciated. All in all armin was the set of the night for me, prolly one of the best ive ever seen him
What a great way to end the summer
till next time

Fun nite! Armin was good (to my surprise ), Junkie started off good but then started to bore me, and Ferry was Ferry. Exactly what i expected from him, and i liked his set the most. Was cool seeing some TA's i knew, and meeting a few others for the first time.

Didnt like the crazy lineup or the excessively rammed KH. I think that was the most packed i have ever seen it in there. I guess it was to be expected though.

Well i figure i might as well right a bit of a review.... finally

I got to the Guv for 8:45 and of course there wasnt a guestlist lineup yet. Waited for it to open and helped my friends get in then waited for Sean to arrive (as i promised i would). Then got in the Guv very quickly probly around 9:45, found my friends and got settled.

Mark Oliver - always plays a good opening set. He started the night off with a good vibe
Digweed - Amazing from what i heard... he needs to losen up when dj'n tho
Armin - Amazing set!! I only heard about an hour HIGHLIGHTS: 2 devine - Black is the colour (mojo remix) and Eric Prydz vs Pink Floyd - Proper Education(my fav right now)
Simon Jain - Good set... I personally love his style and personality behind the decks.
Dekoze - Didnt stay long for his set.... played some trance????
Rest of Local tent - Most of them had better vibes going then the Internation dj's
Ferry - What can i say... i am not into Ferry anymore.
Benny B - Boring.... was all over the place, but better than the last time i saw him.
Junkie XL - Boring.... way better set last time i saw him. He played the usuals Coldplays 'Talk' and Beastie Boys 'Fight for your right'

SURPISE OF THE NIGHT: the dj's i was unaware of in the tent outside.... Tommie Sunshine.... and Boyz Noise.... WIKKID dirty beatz. They had the tent outside going nuts until 8am.

Things that bugged me from the night:

1)The Drink - That was the sketchiest room ever... over packed and took 1/2 hour to walk through to get to the SkybarThe
2) Gallery - I walked though the room and it was so dark i was weirded out by it
3) Benny B was the final act in the Guv main room.... not the right person to keep people dancing after a long night.
4)Having my assed grabbed to many time... mostly by men (grr)

Over all I was lost most of the night as normal, and last years L.o.L had better dj/sets.... but this year alot of friends actually made it out.

After seeing your buddies start an arm wrestling tournament over a fuckin empty record case, I decided that Bennys Boys were just a little bit too much for me.

It was really disappointing too, because Double B was fuckin amazing!

+1 This has been my best summer so far too...there were just way to many events this summer compared to last year...

I hope the winter turns out to be the same
