I hadnt seen him sicne 8/05 when he was there with max graham so it was nice to see him again. I can say this for the little bit i got to watch him up there, he was all over the keyboards and midi controllers, ableton was worked the man does some shit he aint just playing solitaire up there. he is so into what he does, that is good stuff.
Beautiful things was actually the song when i got there, i was surprised but the crowd loved it he was letting them all sing along (okay i sang too, lol) |
Funny thing is I talked to a lot of house-heads that were there for Prydz on the terrace but had caught PVD, and they echoed your exact sentiments. When I told them I was not impressed by what PVD did they could not believe me, and all said they liked the fact PVD played deeper, slower bpms and vocals. Oh well, guess I could have lived with it better if he would have structured the set differently ala how Corsten does it. (i.e. - start slow and build it up to faster harder shit, not vice versa how PVD did). He really spoiled us in June with a 140+ bpm set start-to-finish, and I was expecting part II. Oh well, as i said before stiil had fun partying with the maniacs in the asylum we all know as Space. That is what it is all about in the end.
