I have been inactive in this forum for years now... I don't know if you recall but I went by the screenames of Arnoldjch, ArnoldJ etc... Browsing through the forums this news came of shock to me. One of the most beloved members of FLTA is now gone... Even though I never personally met Raul he seemed a very friendly and genuine gentleman. His presence was always felt in many events here in S.Florida and elsewhere with fellow TA members. His presence in the forum was undisputable… Always with his party reviews and pictures. A true supporter of EDM!!!

My deepest condolences to his family and close friends… It’s a tragedy that his life ended this way… but now he is in a better place!

ooh yeah - I remember you.

Yeah thanks.. he just made 3 months this week and I was really sad last weekend. The closer I get to WMC - I feel excited but then I think he isn't here and I feel guilty at times. I wish he were still here.

Love him alot... and I couldn't be any happier that I am seeing Ferry for the first time at a WMC event. I have never seen Ferry @ WMC! Ferry was a big part of his life and that was actually one of the last phone/text conversations we had in September... labor day weekend

Wow - just seeing this...

I never got to meet Dark Angel, but saw and read much of his passion on the board. And now, to read everyone talk about him so amazingly, and miss him so dearly is just a small indication of what a special person he must have been. I know I’ve missed out on meeting and knowing an incredible person.

I can remember when FLTA used to be a home away from home for me. Nightly I would visit the forum to read, and sometimes participate in the discussions. Dark Angel was always there - engaged in something that he loved.

There is a beauty that goes beyond words that I find in Trance music, especially the style that was popular when I used to ride the waves of the forums with Dark Angel. I think he shared the love, the emotion, and the passion that brought us to the music and to the site, and to me, his passing marks a loss of a amazing person that I’ll never get to know.

From the posts here - it looks like he touched many people deeply, and that his memory will carry on farther than he probably ever imagined.

I can remember how enthusiastic DA was about introducing music to new TA’s - and I remember always seeing him at almost every event that had pictures posted. And most of the time, he always had great looking girls on his arms!!! Dark Angel was also always the first person to welcome new people to the FLTA thread…..

The note that he left troubles me deeply. I hate to think about him alone, in a time of despair, not knowing all of the love the World had for him.

Mel (and everyone else) - one thing I think Dark Angel would really love, is to keep trance, and the beautiful music DA loved, alive. It’s beautiful stuff…

Raul, you’ve touched more people than you’ve met…. Rest in peace.

I was reading the latest blog from Markus and i saw this part

I feel so depressed at the moment and to be honest I was not able to read the article at once because i was shaking... I still remember how much Raul was excited for TE specially when he went the first time.. And i do remember how much we laugh when i was keep telling him that his sim card wont work there and he was saying the opposite

I just cant continue anymore feel so broken at the moment

Same weekend Rank 1 was in NY and I tried to see Piet from Rank 1 play... I couldn't even get to the breakdown of the first song.

I wanted to cry as soon as he came on the stage but I tried fighting back tears and I just couldn't hold back anymore. I started crying in the middle of the dancefloor at ASOT450 in NY.

It was too hard.. so I just went off to the side bar in the back. Behind the speakers so I couldn't hear too well.

The day i found out that Raul gone by ironic Above and Beyond was coming the same night and I wasnt sure either really wanted to go out for that party but no matter how bad it will sound I knew Raul loved them and in the other hands my friends didnt wanted to leave me alone in my place so i went..

Wasnt the best night out in fact it was the worse every trance party i went!I am not a person who drinks but that night i swear i took at least one bottle of vodka

Cant say i partied that much but I was trying to be calm wasnt the best to stand in the middle of the dance floor when everyone was jumping around up and down and me just standing still... So i was calm most of the night untill Above and Beyond dropped Cant Sleep and I wasnt able to hold my tears any longer.

Along time ago I said I was going to make a track dedicated to Raul, with influences from his favorite songs, but what actually happened was something entirely different.

I'm not sure if he'd like this or not, but I tried to write down how I felt and I think it came out pretty good. It's still not finished, but here it is.
