he's in the last group, with Aaron Baddeley. Baddeley started out 2 up on everybody, but he tripled the first hole, and Tiger parred it. So now Tiger's tied with a couple people at +4, with Baddeley and a bunch of others at +5. Good to see the USGA finally make a good course, instead of cutting all the rough and watering the greens

lol that's the way the tournament's supposed to be. The USGA's crapped up the past few, though, starting with Olympia Fields, when they made them water the course & cut the rough on Tuesday.

They can keep adding a million yards to these courses, but the only way to slow down the pros is to grow the rough really long and to make the greens very very fast. US Open rough is more like fescue than grass, and putting on the greens is about the same as playing on wooden floors...with huge slopes.
