Do tell how I proved your point. And if you can't even stand up for your own tastes and brand everyone who happens to disagree with them for "elitists", I feel sorry for you.

Well since every one else is venting off about their opinion i shall also put my 2 cents in and get bitched at. I feel left out.
Ummm so lets start with PVD playing Prog and not the harder bangin sets he used to before. Well i think it is a fresh change and it is good to see DJs like PVD exploring new areas about electronica. If a Dj plays same style ALL the time, after a while it tends to get old and as fan of the music you probably would get bored of it soon. If PVD wants to play Prog, more power to him, atleast he is trying something new and he is in my opinion doing a damn good job at it. He is not playing the same tracks that made him popular over and over and over and over again in all of his sets.
A world class Dj like PVD, who has proven himself as a world class Dj time and time again has the right to venture off to new posibilties of his music. That my friends is what a good artist does. They are not afraid of taking chances. It is a different story that it may not work out for PVD and he may loose some fans over it but you know what i don't think PVD would loose any sleep over it nor would Natasha and neither would the fans who truly love the music and not just one acpect of it and that being hard banging style.
With that being said i also would like to state that some of the sets PVD has played recently have not been that good but you know what i do not tend to look at it as " oh PVD is going downhill". I look at it as a Dj trying to get a taste of all the areas of his music career and so do all of the fans that truly understand the music and what are the essentials of a good artist. Look at Tiesto, see where he has ended up playing the same shit over and over and same style. Armin who has a superb track record so far is not too far behind Tiesto also. Oakenfold just got trapped into his own commercialism. In my opinion Hats off to PVD for atleast trying to bring new flavour to his fans and to the music world.
Now if you find yourself pissed off after reading this or wanna correct my spellings or grammar then please call 1 800-who-cares.
And thats all i have to say about that .

Why are people finding it so hard to grasp the fact that PvD has always played prog? He has also always played trance. What he has never played to such a large extent before is 'pansey' trance such as Andy Moor productions and other ASOT related products shown in his last few broadcasted sets. Further more, what he has done before, is slate said productions in various interviews and news articles. Regularly listening to soundgarden on fritz will show you that he has always been one to venture in many genre's within edm; so this is also nothing new that he is doing now that he has 'proven' himself.

It's just the arrogance that they believe that they know everything. I don't have to stand up for what I listen to because it's what I enjoy. Nothing else matters. Just that some people out there need to realize this.

Actually, an elitist is a person who believes that he/she is better than you, for instance cos he/she thinks your taste in music is shit. The level of knowledge they have doesn't have anything to do with it, though usually elitists are very knowledgeable on the subject in question. Another point to add is that a real elitist would never bother to discuss with someone on tranceaddict.com, as they wouldn't be worth his/her time. So I'm afraid I don't qualify for your elitist-brand.
