Made Event Goes Green



Paul van Dyk’s August 16 performance @ NYC’s Pier 54 to be powered entirely by 100% Biodiesel





(New York, NY) – Top New York City dance music promotion company Made Event announced today that Paul van Dyk’s much anticipated August 16 performance at Hudson River Park’s Pier 54 will be powered entirely by 100% Biodiesel. Unfamiliar with Biodiesel by name? Well, it’s actually Soy Oil, the same stuff you make French Fries with and it creates 78% LESS emissions than petroleum!



It requires an enormous amount of energy and a stack of generators in order to power the world-class sound and lighting systems Made Event has installed for Paul van Dyk’s performance. However, Biodiesel is almost completely carbon neutral, which means that it contributes next to no emissions to global warming. This is responsible clubbing.



From Central Park (2003-2007) to this year’s installment at Hudson River Park’s Pier 54, Paul van Dyk and Made Event have created one of New York City’s most popular annual summer concert events. This year, van Dyk offers his extended five-hour set with another historic venue providing the backdrop.



Those looking for a double dose of Paul van Dyk will have the opportunity to attend a special Webster Hall afterparty. The after party themes on van Dyk’s "This DJ's F**king Crazy" summer residency at Cream @ Amnesia in Ibiza, Spain and will feature additional sets by Matt Darey and Jason Jollins.
