!
I just got back to my hotel (after being hopelessly lost outside for a half an hour ahaha) and I had the most AMAZING time! I didn't use VIP very much because there wasn't anywhere to sit, you couldn't take any water out of there (wtf?) and while Armin is very handsome I didn't want to stare at his backside all night, so I moved myself waaaay up in the right hand-side of the bleachers.
I met some great people! The American dance community is much more friendlier than the European one (at least in my experience). It took some getting used to, having total strangers come up and touch on you and rub on you but I remember the advice that it 'doesn't mean anything'.
I was way overdressed but still managed to dance even with heels on. Some of the costumes were hilarious and some I worried that their stuff was going to fall out of, but everyone looked really comfortable.
My only complaint was some jerk snatched my camera! I managed to wiggle my way right to the barrier dead center of Armin. I caught his eye (while waving my camera) and he pointed at me, I took a picture and as I lowered it to put it back in my bag someone yanked hard on the wrist strap and it went away (which I know it was my fault, I should have worn the wrist strap, but in my haste to get a good picture of Armin and get out of there before being squished I forgot.
I immediately pushed people aside in the direction it was yanked to, I ducked on the floor (and tons of people stopped dancing to look on the floor as well) but it was gone. I was pretty upset for a bit, but then I decided I can replace the camera and take pictures from the internet, but I can't replace being at TAO, so I got over and enjoyed myself.
I hated being on the main dance floor. I don't really like being squished or feeling trapped like that. A few times I felt like I couldn't breathe which really upset me.
I'm sorry I didn't try to meet up with any TAers, but I was so high up and so far away from the VIP area, I didn't feel like battling the crowd. I'm so glad I decided to go.
Now its time for a shower and bed, I have an early plane.

armin needs to update his cd lol. his cd got scratched during the opening. but he did a good job today since he blew the speakers out. before the opening, i thought the set up was whack as hell. but then when the curtains drop then the lazers...yup it was on then! he played a lot of good songs. i think my favorite of the night is "the new world" and "children"
