!

I just got back to my hotel (after being hopelessly lost outside for a half an hour ahaha) and I had the most AMAZING time! I didn't use VIP very much because there wasn't anywhere to sit, you couldn't take any water out of there (wtf?) and while Armin is very handsome I didn't want to stare at his backside all night, so I moved myself waaaay up in the right hand-side of the bleachers.

I met some great people! The American dance community is much more friendlier than the European one (at least in my experience). It took some getting used to, having total strangers come up and touch on you and rub on you but I remember the advice that it 'doesn't mean anything'.

I was way overdressed but still managed to dance even with heels on. Some of the costumes were hilarious and some I worried that their stuff was going to fall out of, but everyone looked really comfortable.

My only complaint was some jerk snatched my camera! I managed to wiggle my way right to the barrier dead center of Armin. I caught his eye (while waving my camera) and he pointed at me, I took a picture and as I lowered it to put it back in my bag someone yanked hard on the wrist strap and it went away (which I know it was my fault, I should have worn the wrist strap, but in my haste to get a good picture of Armin and get out of there before being squished I forgot.

I immediately pushed people aside in the direction it was yanked to, I ducked on the floor (and tons of people stopped dancing to look on the floor as well) but it was gone. I was pretty upset for a bit, but then I decided I can replace the camera and take pictures from the internet, but I can't replace being at TAO, so I got over and enjoyed myself.

I hated being on the main dance floor. I don't really like being squished or feeling trapped like that. A few times I felt like I couldn't breathe which really upset me.

I'm sorry I didn't try to meet up with any TAers, but I was so high up and so far away from the VIP area, I didn't feel like battling the crowd. I'm so glad I decided to go.

Now its time for a shower and bed, I have an early plane.

omg...best set from Armin I've ever heard, and I've heard him a lot! . I have never seen SO many people at the Sports Arena either, even for Tiësto in Concert! Armin Only NYE must have sold out?

Wow, I've never had my camera stolen, but I did drop one once ustairs at this very venue. Sad, but a great excuse to upgrade to the newest model. Still, I can't believe someone would steal another person's camera rightvin front of them! Has LA clubbing come to this?

Well, that's my parking lot update...hopeless traffic, just going to sit it out!

armin needs to update his cd lol. his cd got scratched during the opening. but he did a good job today since he blew the speakers out. before the opening, i thought the set up was whack as hell. but then when the curtains drop then the lazers...yup it was on then! he played a lot of good songs. i think my favorite of the night is "the new world" and "children"

Happy new year!

Excellent set by Armin last night. The set actually got better as the night went on (especially the progressive trance later on). I wanted to leave at 4:00, but I didn't want to get stuck in traffic so I left an hour earlier. I couldn't believe how crowded the arena was with almost all space on both the dance floor and balcony filled. Although many people in the upper level were tripping, everyone was friendly and just happy to see Armin. It was funny that security was basically non existent inside, with people doing whatever they wanted...I do give props for the people who jumped over the rails of the balcony

huh? who me? i was at the house tent. was alone by myself looking for some friends, went to the side next to the VIP entrance and danced because MANDY was sick. then my friends found me before midnight and i was in the middle of the crowd during deadmau5 and then got sick of the pushing and shoving so i sat by myself near the fence chain smoking. then i went to the armin section 09 to meet up with my coworker, then i went to section 25a to hang out with my buddy and his girlfriend behind the screens where the sound was horrid.

If you're talking to me, it wasn't my camera. I had a Canon which was taken from me on the dance floor. I tried to call the sports arena today to see if maybe the person dropped it and it was turned in, but no one answered. So I'll call tomorrow and if they did find it, I'll pay to have it post back to me.

Well at least it was an eventful night? I wasn't too sure if I met you or not. There was a guy dancing near me in the middle of the Armin crowd who mentioned being on tranceaddict. Outside of this the top of his head looked like your av heh
