I agree. There is no reason to change our first past the post in local ridings voting system. Having fixed elections is one thing, but I don't favour a proportional representation style of system that Jack Layton yapped about last election and that was defeated handily.

no, probably not...but what happens in the U.S. means a great deal for Canada (and the rest of the world), whereas what happens here means little for the U.S. (relatively speaking, of course).
