well how many times have you told me erik that you liked that techy-ier zabiela esk sound? i mean when you bought the last survivor for instance and couldn't stop talking about zabiela and his sound....so i just figured you liked it and your comments were coming from something else and not the music perse. i guess i was just kind of shocked by your reaction to the set...anyway, doesn't really matter...i know i just had a great time and loved his set...

I for one am fuckin in love with James sound. I wasnt much of a fan listening to his stuff at home...but on the gorgeous Avalon sound system....JEEEZuZ! I sat my ass on a subwoofer in front of the DJ booth and I was in HEAVEN.

I know it doesn't matter, but, for the record, I didn't think it was a shitty set. I just didn't think it was out of this world. I liked Lawler's set better, when he was here, and Sasha's, obviously (but Sasha is as close as a dj will get to immortality, IMO). I liked most of his tracks, throughout, but I found myself losing interest in the set. This tends to happen at the Church, anyway, so I might have liked it better in another city, without so many people to distract me. I really liked Fair a lot more than JZ, on that night. And I really like the techy sounds, but I don't think I enjoy a whole set of techy tracks. You know?

The first, id say half of ZB set, was pretty freakin awesome. Then kinda sunk into a (to me) boring lull, which picked once he threw done KLF... I love those guys.
