Work is probably the biggest factor in my drinking to be honest, I been on the same project for over 8 months now, and its driving me mad, every time we get it close to being out the door the client wants more and more and more and I been going insane. |
I know exactly how you feel. At my last company I never worked directly with clients because we were a sales company. But my "clients" so to speak were my boss and co-workers. You think dealing with clients that want some kind of software is bad. Try dealing with a boss that runs an IT staffing company that clearly knows NOTHING about IT. Constant CONSTANT changes to our database, a ranking system for certain consultant attributes that really only he understood. It was ridiculous.
But on the other side, once you finally put this project to rest you can look back and give a big "fuck you" because even though the client was always changing their minds, and making these lame little adjustments that meant nothing to you. In the end they'll be getting what they want. You're helping some poor schmucks improve their customer satisfaction
That's what got me through most of it.
