at the rate they're going, they'll be dead last in all of MLB.

i think the orioles season will complete in it's entirity when sammy sosa fesses up with his "illegal roid use" in the past .. really .. we all know he did it, just like we all know pete rose gambled against his own team ..

we all know they did the wrongdoings .. now we wait for them to confess to their wrongdoings.

baltimore seems like a crappy organization right now. they've had a lot of injuries to key players this year (lopez and bedard to name a few). they didnt make any moves to help the team during that stretch. they didnt make any moves to better themselves before the deadline. they spent a lot of money to get a washed up sammy sosa. not to mention the palmeiro fiasco going on. i feel bad for mazzilli.

same goes for joe torre when this season ends. i don't think they're going to make the playoffs, especially with the red sox playing well, indians making a strong push for a wild card spot, and angels and a's playing well at the moment.

steinbrenner spending $200+ million dollars on his team, and getting nothing ? .. just like the redskins and dan snyder spending $100+ million dollars and producing nothing, and the knicks, lakers, and mavs spending mucho money and producing nothing.

teaches everyone a lesson. money doesn't produce championships.

but everyone knew that sooner or later, baltimore would come back from cloud nine .

at least their cross city counter parts the washington nationals are making some kind of effort to make the playoffs .. and they're also in a tough division with the braves, mets, marlins, and phillies .

who wants to predict the orioles will finish last behind the devil rays when the season ends ?

I am pretty sure they wont finish last in AL East. Just because Rays will not gain much ground on them. I didnt see the Orioles plunge like this early on in the season, though I wasnt sure if they'd make the playoffs. I see the situation now.

Congrats to Pujols on becoming first ever Major league player to hit 30 or more homers in their first five seasons. A healthy Albert Pujols will see more records tumbling in the years to come.

They surely embarrased my Braves yesterday. I haven't seen a team score 10 or more runs vs Braves in quite a while. Oh well, that was only the opening game of the series. Plus, teams that impose a defeat by a huge margin tend to lose in the next game.

yea its like they wear themselves out putting up all those runs. did anyone see the spanking the twins put on the red sox? i just saw the final score and couldnt believe that the red sox could get beat like that. oh well, i dont have much room to talk with my white sox playing the way they have.

two shocking things from last night ..

1- the braves got whoopied by the cardinals, and the cardinals put up 10+ runs

2- the red sox got whoopied by the twins, and the red sox put up 4 hits last night .. 4 hits! .. that's unbelieveable.

What about the pitching dual in the Cards Braves game today. Thought Carp was gonna get the loss, despite pitching well, due to no run support then the wee man hits a grand slam. Have to say Sosa looks good, any pitcher that can shut down this line-up to 4 hits over 7 innings is doing a good job. Carpenter for Cy Young still!

What a shocker ... that Braves bullpen has been shaky all year, especially the closer position. Too bad Sosa's jem went to waste

is it just me, or are the braves winning with no-namers at the moment (excluding marcus giles and andrew jones and john smoltz of course) .. ??

another reason bobby cox for manager of the year .. seriously .. and it looks like the braves will win the division, because the nationals are sliding, the mets and phillies look semi-alive, and the marlins look uninterested in looking forward to october ..
