should have gone backstage...the setup at the Kool Haus (like during Canada Day) was *VERY* conducive toward meet and greets...and Ferry definitely was open to meeting his fans. DEF created a MEMORY i will cherish forever...ill write more about it in a bit...

well neways in NYC hes probably one of the few djs where he will come down from the booth to meet his fans after his set...actually Armin did a few times in NYC shows but he was hustled outside immediately AFTER his set ended on Sunday

edit: DETAILS

aren't these beads JUST GORGEOUS!!!~ currently on my wall... ^__^ courtesy of Jamie <3...started with three strands, red, silver and purple...only brought back the purple from Toronto...gave the red strand to a fellow NYTA chick (Marthy) to welcome her to LOL and the GUV GUESS WHO has the silver strand...gave those away at 9-930am...hehehe just going with Jamie's tradition. <3

_________________________________________________________

ok ok for those who asked...i personally gave the silver beads to Ferry backstage before I left that morning

but i was really *shy* about it, didnt wanna bother him...just kept catching his eye and blowing him kisses to which he grinned back. but by 730am i had had the idea to give him the beads like it would be nice to continue with TOTA tradition right ....i thought about throwing them on stage...and even motioned it to him...i even pointed to my hand which held the beads...he just laughed...i wasn't going to risk getting kicked out if they forbid ppl throwing things on stage...

sooo basically around 830 or 9am i decided to make my way backstage...was waiting and dancing with other line ppl as well as talking to the security when Beautiful Things came on...Ferry was talking to a guy in yellow (his mgr?) then spotted me with silver beads in hand and motioned for the guy in yellow to step ASIDE so he could come down. He's like, "hey!" (probably since i was waving a poster in the first row since 6am ahahah) Im like, "this is for you." and he grins, then BENDS down so I could PUT THE BEADS ON HIM!!! omg i almost DIED!!!

What a class act he is.

then i told him that a krew of NYC ppl came up to TORONTO just to see him. He grinned, and he asked how long that took. so we chatted for a bit...and he was like, "Awesome you guys came. im so honored!!!" and he hugs and gives me a kiss on the cheek!!! then he steps back onto the decks.

(no i didn't give him my name, there was no need. I didnt even stand around djwhoring ahha, this was MY moment and my moment alone to remember and cherish FOREVER.) i stepped back into the crowd, saw he was wearing the beads for the next 3-4 tracks, grinned again and below him a kiss...i was SO ecstatic. then i left around 9:30am i think.

a little late as always..sorry, between jetlag, and having not slept in 7 days (yes ibiza does that to you) i have been doing nothin but making (second) best use of lauras bed

what an incredible night. i can't believe anyone could complain about it, esp. those who have been around for all the other LOL. the organization was amazing, and it was not even close to the shitshow the other ones have been. i love armin, enjoyed diggers (for the 45 mins i saw him..definitely taking a break though. shelley, so crushed i missed simpler though. that song is the constant soundtrack in my head since you left). and ferry was really good. i've seen him tons in the last four months, and even though the man used to be my favourite, hes slipped a few notches in the last 2 years. however, minus a couple spots, i loved his set. there was a good 3 hour blur where i remember nothin but the floor, the beats and of course nadas body (damn girl..always an inspiration..you could get the lame to dance)

anyways, it was so good to be back. if anything this summer has shown me that it doesn't matter where you are, its the people you're with that makes the difference between a great party or not. and this was a night of of pure reunion..all bonding sessions. i missed you guys so much, too many people to mention, but of course, my girls..i love you..

Well lets just say Labour of Love kicked my ass. This and Decadance are still one of my favourite parties to hit up, and I am glad I did, regardless of price. Im not going to complain about the heat, the overcrowding, etc. Ive come to expect these sorts of things, especially from a line-up such as it was.

We had a nice crew at my place before hand, and some friends that came in all the way from Edmonton to check this event out. Thanks for everyone who came by, it was a ton of fun, and no real mess to clean up!

We got there around 12:00 to a packed lineup, and offered a healthy "tip" to security to let us though. Soon to enter a packed Kool Haus. A few drinks later we chilled out towards the back corner of the KH since that seemed to be the only place with some room to dance.

Armin came on, and personally I thought he played a fantastic set, and everything that I wanted to hear and came to expect. Whole crowd seemed really up for it.

Junkie came on, and I thought he didn't really turn it out, kind of dropped the ball, seemed his set was pre-programmed or something. But anyway, at this point it didn't matter Ferry was on next.

I will admit, and this is a tough call, his 8hr marathon set he played awhile back in the Guv space was better IMHO, however his set this time was a close second.

Great to run into some familiar faces! I managed to tough it out till 9am for a long awaited shower and of course my bed!!!

Until the next time.

Very late,yes I know...

Best Labour of Love yet for me. Although the Koolaus was so packed early on in the night, getting around the complex was the easiest that it has ever been. usually there are long lines to get upstairs to begin the voyage thru the place.

Armin...best set in a looong time, after decadence I have been very iffy, but this night made me regain all my faith in him. Solar Stone-Seven Cities, TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNE, where was the sign when we needed it NADA!!!
Diggers, well only saw him for about 20 minutes, but it seemed okay.
Ferry, WOW, tune after tune that made me keep going all morning, I thought going into it that there would be no way I would last till 10 a.m. but I did thanks to the great tunage.

Chris it was great to see you, Ashley its too bad you weren't able to make it you would have really enjoyed the night I think

Buffaloferryfan, aka Grinder, it was GREAT to see you back in action again, front row centre, Ferry must have been so happy

To everyone else what a great way to end the summer and it was great chillin after.

It was really good to see you too Danielle. I think the last 2 hours of Ferry's set, being upront with you, Lisa and some of the other TAs - hearing Ferry drop all those classsics, were probably the best 2 hours I've ever had at a party!! I was really happy for Lisa, when she got to go onstage with Ferry and I was really glad to see you come right over when he dropped "Sweetest Dreams". It's really too bad Ashley couldn't have been there to experience that with us but I still had an incredible time! Partying with you guys REALLY makes it hard to "hang-up my hat" from going to these partys.. you guys really make it worth it. Thx again Lisa for holding up my "Sweetest Dreams" sign. That was the one track I've wanted to hear most at a party. But I must say Tenshi & Dogzilla - Without You (Original Mix) bring back amazing memories of that night as well.
