When Shaq and Kobe won their rings in 2000, 2001, and 2002, most people would have agreed that they'd rather have Shaq than Kobe, even though Shaq was 7 years older. |
Huh? Most people? Yeah that's why his own team chose to retain Kobe and let him go in 2004.

He's 32, but he has played so many playoff games that he has an extra 3 seasons worth of wear and tear on his legs compared to Dirk... not including 2 runs at the Olympics too. People wouldn't choose Kobe as even a top 5 choice to build a team around right now, even though he is still great.
| quote: | | You said Dirk doesn't show up in the playoffs. He's proving you wrong right now, and if you look at his career playoff statistics, he's been proving you wrong all along. |
So what about the 10 playoff years before this one when he didn't show up? Stop sweeping that under the rug. Yeah, wow... Dirk's making me eat a big plate of crow right now because he's tearing up an old ass Laker team in the 2nd round that could barely beat New Orleans with their 2nd best player David West out of that series. Dude stop trying to flex your NBA knowledge on everyone in here. You keep failing to take perspective and history into consideration with your arguments, and rely too heavily on stats.
