I don't know much about the other Mid Western states, but I can tell you that Michigan blows. I've lived here for about 11 months now and it's so damn boring here. Every club and lounge/bar I've been to closes around 1:30'ish. If it's a private party thrown by the owner/manager or at someone's house I'm sure things could get interesting and last all night but there are no comparisons to New York, Miami and Toronto.

I was born in Michigan. Yes, it blows as far as I can tell. As does Indiana since I lived there for about 5 years, maybe six or seven. Dunno, I was young when I lived at both places. Wisconsin TA's seem pretty ftw though.
