What exactly do you mean by musically dumbed down public? Just because they couldnt care less about learning about the intricacies of an EDM tune because they probably have more important things going on in their lives doesnt make them musically dumbed down. They can probably counter argue that you are financially retarded because you have no clue about what generates the moolah. Its really funny how some people's greatest claim to fame on this forum seems to be that 'They saw tiesto in 1998' before he became a sellout and people who support tiesto today have no clue about his music'. Kudos to you. Put that on your resume and see how far your career progresses.

I personally do not like the direction some artists have taken but I do believe that it was in the best interests of their career. Sure, maybe they lost the support of the 75,000+ on this forum but they consoled themselves with the support of another 750,000 and maybe a ferrari or two.
