AC Milan 0 - Lyon 0 (End of first half)

Milan has definetly had the most clear chances in the game. Shevchenko had 3 good chances but Coupet is having a good night and saving everything coming towards him. Too bad Pernambucano is not playing

yea...although i think sheva could've done better with a couple of those shots...one being the meek effort on the near post n the latter being straight at the keeper. The match hasnt lived up to its billing for me but theres another half to go...lets see some goals!!

AC Milan - Lyon 0 - 0 (final)

meh .. I've seen better games. Lyon dominated the second half on and off but couldn't finish. The best part of the game was Shevchenko exchanging jerseys with Coupet at the end of the game

The game did lacked presence of a playmaker for both teams. I didn't see Pirlo do much, esp. in 2nd half. Juninho was badly needed for Lyon, who did manage to put together some good footbal second half, though their poor finishing cost them. Even the 2 centrebacks were making plays, which was kinda nuts. Takes a lot of confidence.

Oh well. It should make 2nd leg all that more interesting. (Note to Lyon, buy a striker off season)

ya they do need that one prolific striker. wiltord is good. carew? meh. when he played for valencia (my fav. team) i saw him every game and he isn't that good. he's just good in the air but not too much tactics for him.

thoughts about the game: milan started off good, they were taking it to lyon, sheva glorious chances, coupet good saves, lyon dominated after 26th minute but not too many scoring chances on target even though they did manage 19 shots but most of them were wide.

2nd leg: milan leading 1-0 until some guy juninho does his magik again with a free kick, 1-1 final LYON goes through!! then they beat barca to go to final!! and my biggest prediction in football will come true!!

p.s. villareal/inter was a good game too, i think 2nd leg is gonna be very wide open now! 3-2 villa i think with inter going through on away goals.

I work from home as of late and have a TV close to my desk .. and depending on the game, I may take a long "lunch"
