Its not the case of FIA favoring Ferrari
The stewards dont have any data to know what was the temperature of the fuel when it entered the car's tank
Its as simple as that

Yeah, next year FIA can order all teams to install sophisticated fuel rigs to moniter fuel temperature

I do think McLaren might have a case here, but Lewis won't come out champion out of it.

Fuck yeah, what a way to end the season! (except for the controversies afterwards..) The race was absolutely perfect, insanely tense, and the completely unlikely, but right result came out of it.

Don't feel sorry for McLaren after the spying scandal although i feel sorry for Hamilton after putting brilliant performances all year round as a rookie. HAHA TO ALFONSO.

FORZA KIMI
FORZA FERRARI

Well, if Mclaren didn't point out the illegal device Ferrari was using at the start of the season, they'd be running the illegal car entire season long ( and Mclaren was punished on pure speculation as they never found real Ferrari designs on the Mclaren car ). To be honest, I think Alonso should have won since Kimi should have been disqualified at OZ, but not that it's going to happen.

I'm happy for Kimi that he finally wins after loosing the championship so many times due to his machinery in the past. It was very amazing what he did in 2003 in his inferiour Mclaren that was no match for the Williams and the Ferraris and he would have been WDC back than allready if his merc engine didnt'blow up all the time or if MS didn't get pushed out of the gravel after he got stuck due to a spin. A well, he finally got one now

No, it would be the biggest shame in sports history.
Right up there with that fucking twat who refused to give up his gold medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics after it was clearly established he did not win. Although, that was a shame for the "athlete" not to the sport.

In other news, here's the real reason Hamilton's car suddenly broke down:

quote:
Lewis Hamilton has admitted that his bid for this year's Formula One Championship seemingly came to an end during the last race of the season following a moment of human error.

"My finger slipped on the steering wheel and I accidentally pressed the button used for the starting sequence," Hamilton confided several hours after the event, according to Montreal's French-language daily newspaper La Presse.

That error cut power to his McLaren for an interminable minute, dropping him down to 18th place as the Brazilian Grand Prix entered its eighth lap on the Interlagos circuit.

"The car went into neutral and I had to reinitialize the system, that is, reload the gearbox management program," he explained. The onboard camera recorded images of Hamilton pressing several buttons on his steering wheel while other drivers sped by.

Once his McLaren car was back up to speed, Hamilton would afterwards work his way back up to seventh place, two positions away from the necessary number of points that would have allowed him to be the first rookie World Champion.

However, his title chances might not yet be over: the McLaren team has announced it will appeal the stewards' decision not to sanction the BMW Sauber and Williams teams for possibly using 'cool fuel' during the Brazilian GP, claiming that precise information was not available.

If the FIA's Court of Appeal were to overturn the decision and sanction both teams with exclusion, that would remove drivers Nico Rosberg, Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld from the rankings and allow Lewis Hamilton to jump from seventh to fourth position in the race's final standings - thereby giving him enough points to become the 2007 World Champion.

While McLaren have declared their motive is to support their drivers' best interests, Hamilton himself does not at all feel comfortable with the procedure.

"Being promoted after some people have been thrown out is not the way I want to do it," he told Reuters.

His thoughts also went to Ferrari driver and provisional title holder Kimi Raikkonen: "To have it taken away is a bit cruel and probably not good for the sport."

So its not bad luck or reliability, it was 2 rookie mistakes. I guess Lewis doesn't have as cool head as many would like to think.

Come on, this is his first year. He will make mistakes. Look at his achievements. Staggering for a rookie.

Yes and no. Yes, he did very well in his first season, better than any other rookie has ever done, but he did it with help. He had the best car on the grid, along with Alanso, and he has been groomed for 12 years by Dennis.

The second half of the season, really showed him to be a rookie. In the first half, I think he was just having fun, excited to be even fighting for wins, let alone the title. Once it kicked in, that he may actually have a chance, his nerves came a bit undone.

I won't say he failed or chocked, just that he acted like a rookie when it got tough. China and Brazil were both a case of him trying too hard. He could have backed off and just a bit, and gotten much better results; infact his race engineer should have told him to do so. "Calm down, you will get through this, just keep your car straight, and don't over drive". The others played it really cool, and well since they have all been there before, why shouldn't they?

Great season by Lewis, hats off, but he is not as cool as the Ice Man.
