Seems like T.A.S.D and zerotonin79, not only harbor the same hatred, but the same exact style in expressing it,with no indication of who they are. I suspect they are both monikers for one and same person.
The bottom line is not who failed, in your biased opinion, but truth and facts outside of our biases (including mine). Speaking of truth, for every lie you can cite from Keith Olbermann, in his own words - I can easily cite three times as many from Bill O'Reilly in his own words - entire books have been written about them.
Bill O'Reilly bragged about his "C average" in college, while degrading many of his professors "liberal" so it doesn't matter where you graduate from if you're going back to College in your 40s and 50s just to say you have a degree from Harvard, which he has touted on his show many times.
You conveniently fail to mention that Olbermann was so advanced in high school that he started college at age 16 and that Olbermann earned 11 Golden Mike Awards. Additionally, he was named Best Sportscaster by the California Associated Press 3 times.
If that's your definition of a "libtard" I know plenty of people who would love to have accomplished half as much. Speaking of whom - O'Reilly's awards ? He lied that "we won a Peabody" while he was at "Inside Edition" Al Franken called O'Reilly, suggesting he retract his commnet. O'Reilly yelled at Franken and hung up in his face. Being at least half the truth-seeker that O'Reilly reveals himself to be, Franken later confronted O'Reilly in public about it, and O'Reilly yelled at him again, stating "you've had your 30 minutes" (which was yet another lie).
So, if you want to gloat about who has "failed" let's look at the record in O'Reilly's own words with just a FEW examples, keeping in mind that there are many different types of intelligence than the college intelligence you are erroneously boasting about:
"The Iraq War will be a cake walk." - Bill O'Reilly ( A failure of historical intelligence and strategic intelligence). Tell that to over 4,000 American families and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis that the war was the callous "cake walk" O'Reilly shamelessly predicted.
"I am going to fight Andrea Mackris' sexual harassment lawsuit to the end". - Bill O'Reilly ( A failure of moral and ethical intelligence). O'Reilly LIED to the world because the next day when he found out that Mackris' attorney's had TAPE of his perverted phone calls he settled out of court - for $10 million dollars. Hardly a "fight to an end".
"I AM the no-spin zone". - Bill O'Reilly ( A fairure of social intelligence). It is pathological to arrogantly boast of being "fair and balanced" when we all have our own spin and biases about many different things. Yours are very evident, and so are mine.
I don't have to hide behind a moniker to express my views because I trust that *most* people can disagree without taking it too personally - I'm interested in the facts. If you have facts that Olbermann has failed his viewers by lying about his awards and the war, or that he's sexually harassed anyone, I'm all ears. But two wrongs have never made a right and you might want to study more about semantics, critical thinking and "logical fallacies" first - particularly the fallacy of "your another". I am in no way implying that you are a "conservtard" - we can all benefit from learning more and it's a never-ending process for anyone with a measurable degree of self-awareness.
The bigger truth is not about Olbermann nor O'Reilly -it's about basic, decent ethics in terms of who is giving us the truth or not, what they are saying and why. You would never hear or read of me calling O'Reilly a "CANTservative" or any other immature label which we too often see from the extreme "left" and the extreme "right". People are far more complex than that and should be judged on their own isolated statements and behaviors. Just as the map (paper) is not the territory (actual terrain), the label (born of our "feelings" and thus our imaginations) is not the actual person in total - by a long shot.
