dare I say that Xpander is not prog, but moreso just a different incarnation of trance? It sure wouldnt fit inside the sets that people are calling prog. And the melody is not very exciting either, the emotion it gives off reminds me of that fake happiness everyone pretends to have at funerals where they try to mask their grief by remembering a person's life.
I can listen to proton all day and never hear any of this prog that supposedly exists(as I have done many many times), its either this dark rumbling farting shit or stuff that would fit in a markus set. Of course there is the rare exception when someone plays something from another genre, but it all has this melancholy mood that I don't find conducive to an exciting happy party at all.
I imagine this station that you prog heads praise would have this awesome exciting sound out there since it is supposedly this great source for real progressive music. I find the meloncholy prog vibe to be very predicable and boring, despite how original the structure and sounsets are. |

...Do I need to continue? I listed individual songs due to the fact that not every single track made by the above producers sound like the I tunes listed above. I tried to list the most atmospheric and melodic progressive tunes that aren't bog-bog and aren't McProg. You can take my suggestions or piss all over them, it's your choice.
