I got your point and I'm not going to worry about being politically correct when it comes to music.

ANYWAYS, Eric Prydz in 2 weeks - FUCK YEA! Oh wait, he isnt a skilled dj/producer, and i only like him cause im a noob. |
Do you even know what he plays in his sets, and yes you are a n00b cause your going to go see him cause you heard his productions probably off of Armin's ASOT or Live Sets like Armed, etc

Being a good dj doesnt only mean being able to dominate all the effects and transitions. If your music sucks (to someones opinion), no matter how good you are at turning knobs your overall set vibe is awfull. People dont stay for a dj if the tracks suck but the dj is super smooth with transitions. |
Listen the only reason why Armin and Tiesto, etc... all these "trance" DJs are so popular is because they are the ones that open the doors to individuals that first come in contact with the whole EDM scene. Once you go through the door you explore and find other DJs while your music tastes evolve (or so most people do), and then you can reflect back and see differences between when producers spin like Sean Tyas and A&B (where all they do is play their own productions cause they are not DJs by nature and the phrase "building" a set doesn't mean much), or the mainstreamers like Armin, PVD, Tiesto where they hammer the new hits and keep brining in new comers to the scene
AND THEN
theres, again, REAL DJS that work upon hours and hours thinking of how to build a set (filler songs, when to drop bombs, etc.) practicing DJ'ing (finding new ways/techniques of mixing, etc), looking for the underground/hidden "gems", even incorporating music to where the whole EDM scene is shifting (like what's hot at the moment)
Stop being ignorant and look at the WHOLE picture from the whole EDM scene, not just your perspective or ASOT Top 40's perspective

Hmmm, 4 of my votes didn't make it - DJ Taucher, Kintar & Rex and Moshic and G-Pal! at least John 00 Fleming was high up.
What is suprising is the fact that some of the Dj's that remain high up in the voting seem to get the most flak; i don't see why people get so annoyed at results of popularity? and it matters to them so much they have to constantly snipe on about it - yet they then call the poll stupid. Weird. Either it matters to you or not....or maybe you feel the poll is important enough that the Dj's you may have wanted are not be recognised?

First off to the Prydz comment - yup you got me all i know is call on me... I didnt even know armin played pryda/prydz tracks in his sets because i havt seen armin for some time. But once again, great job on discriminating based on music opinions.
As far as whats quoated above, a vote isnt for the entire picutre, its for ones opinions. Why should i say fuck the djs i like because there are better ones that i dont like?
And once again you guys see being a master dj as someone with filler tracks who knows when to drop bombs, when i see a dj never needing filler tracks and can always excite the crowd. Your flow preferences are different than mine. And just like i hammered non stop now, that i think is what affects many in voting for the likes of PVD over a Sander K, etc. Some enjoy the fillers and drops but more so in what the poll shows like to have a consistent set of great track selection. That is how i coted, all there is to it.
And yea, i didnt vote for infected mushroom because they arnt djs and when they dj when they dont do a live set, i dont know what its like because ive never seen them do it. So dont judge me so quickly buddy.
