hey guys, nice meeting people at the dinner and what a surprise was the man himself, ferry corsten, showin up to the dinner. i gain much respekt for the dutchman. unfortunately i couldnt make it to exit, especially with john, taso, and alex pushing me REALLY hard at the dinner to go. u guys are evil, im just not fond of exit. i figured they'd pull some bullshit thing like make people wait in line for 2hours. they make it seem like a hard-to-get-in club to raise it's status. well to be truthful to taso, john, and alex, i considered goin but my reason for not attending was that i had a chance to pay 20 for tickets and unfortunately my friend had left...it wasnt until after she had left that you had all gotten on my case about not going. I will make it up to you all at pvd. (right daniela )

so it looks as if ferry threw it down ferrealz...and i sat home with liz watching tv. you know i came to this epiphany friday night and asked liz if i/we was becomin old. meaning we was in bed by 11:30pm *shakes fist* i must redeem myself pvd i promise you all...

as for the meetup...PLEASE POST THE GROUP PICS~!~!~!~!

hello all...back to the 'real' world now

all i have to say was that friday night was FULL of surprises.

greg and i got to the meetup a little late (late buses, traffic jams ) but we found everyone and sat down for a drink. good seeing and meeting the regulars and new TAs. i thought for sure that Ferry wouldn't show, but who walks in? FERRY! wow, i have to say, that was extremely nice of him, i am very impressed. props to Ferry for being super nice, and a real down to earth guy. wow...and thanks to ian for talking him into coming out, he did mention you were the reason he came.

had to pick brianna up at the train station at 11:30, so we had to jet early, but did get our picture taken with Ferry first. i'd love to see that pic!

dropped brianna off at exit at 1am to an incredibly huge line! yuck...didn't want to wait in line...so greg and i went and got some drinks, then changed and got ready for the evening. we arrived at exit around 2:30-45, and there was no line whatsoever. got right in, and i went through a minimal search.

exit wasn't packed at all, and the crowd was doable. at the beginning of ferry's set, i felt a huge lack of a vibe and energy, but half way through to the end, it really picked up. there was enough room to dance, so i was happy. the sound sucked at the beginning, it was too quiet, but towards the end seemed to have gotten louder. i was pleasantly surprised...i was expecting the WORST.

i was very impressed with ferry's set. he played some great new tracks, some classics, and TECHNO. oh my, let's just say greg and i were bouncing to adam beyer's essential mix in the car and introduced brianna to cave-street carnival. we were like "i'd LOVE to hear this out tonight!no way, ferry would NEVER play this". on the dancefloor, i hear DRUMS. yes, the DRUMS. i was sooo shocked, i said to greg "street carnival!"

what a great surprise.

yeah, ferry really rocked exit on friday night. my first time seeing him, i had a great time.

good to see TAs out friday, you guys really made the night!
alex-so glad you got OUT OF THE BLUE signed, no problem for the suggestion. and don't forget the "what's this track? i KNOW this track! it goes like this: sing sing sing, yeah i know it too! what is it?"
brianna-nice to finally meet/chat with you, we'll have to hang out more at PvD!
seth-can't even begin to thank you enough for letting greg and i shower/chill at your brother's place for a bit. turns out we couldn't check into our hotel until 3pm!

looking forward to seeing everyone on friday night for PvD!!!

I would like to thank Ferry for coming to the meetup. If you are reading this, thank you, you are a top guy.

I enjoyed meeting TA's for the first time. Very cool group. Looking forward to more events in the future.

About Exit, it sucks. Standing outside in the rain to get in to a less than full club makes no sense. I think this will be my last time going to Exit. I am with Kid Nyce on this one. Instead I might start going to Arc from now on.

Just a minor complaint. I hate the horns/sirens. Anybody agree with me they are annoying?

Ferry's first time at Exit was better in my opinion.

And I don't think he played Pulser-Cloudwalking.

See you people at Virgin friday.

good times everyone... it was definately a surprise seeing ferry at friday's... we had all but lost hope and he just showed up asking, "Are you the tranceaddicts?" What a nice surprise...

It was great seeing all you guys again.. it's been a long time since I've had a chance to chill with the tas and it always makes for a great time... nice to see some new faces too.. shamus, sorry I didn't get to say bye... i had to take a water and sit down break... had a good time hanging out with you most of the night... i'll see you at virgin for pvd!

Ferry rocked it... i wasn't feeling it at the beginning.. i guess it was a little too fluffy for me... eventually he threw down some sick hard stuff.. sometime between 4:30 and 5:30... it was awesome.... caryn was talking about it.. that one song with the drums where ferry was drumming along.. that was awesome... and then he played Punk followed by uhhh... Car Cox & Christian Smith - Dirty Bass (Trevor Rockcliffe Remix), Axel Bartsch & Asem Shama - Drumfiles, and Marco V's del C... that hard stuff was definately worth the trip to exit...

an overall awesome night.. i'll see you all at pvd

i liked friday a lot.. well apart from freezing my toes off waiting for the f00king bus in Hartford.

anyway, ferry rocked it, as I had expected. Now, if only exit were OPEN till a reasonable time.

I did not like the ending too much 'uplifting' for me.. i needed harder beats and less lights and MORE.. if only NYC had an after hour where an addict could go for TECHNO!

That's EXACTLY what I did. However, DT was sick. The fill-ins (2 guys) were ok but I was really hoping for DT. Ah well, gave me something to do till 10am
