Not really. I think its all about the experience you have and what you know. The only point i can see you making is that if a 16 year has just as much experience as a 21 year old, the 16 year old is better off And well thats kinda true because he's younger, but that can just as easily be a downfall, because a promoter dosent want to be hiring a 16 y.o for a gig, only to have a parental supervisor standing next to him to stop all the girls from juming on him...
To the dude that started this post, if i we're you, id buy those CDJ100's some guy was offering to sell you. there great, fun, and are a great way to start off because there alot easier to use then vinyl.(but im only saying this because of you're tight budget) im sure you have stacks of cd's that you'll be able to play on them
