at first i thought it was a bad thing, but then the more i thought about it, i coulnt think of why...

trance gets played on the radio in the UK and look how good their scne is compared to ours. exposing people to trance could make them take an interest and want to come to events. which means more support for the scene. just because someone first heard trance on the radio, doesnt make them a "bad" fan, and not allowed to come to events.

So I'm curious... I hear the word "Gino" thrown around every second post on this board. When you people use this word, are you talking about appearance, or are you talking about attitude?

The stereotype as I know it is all about appearance... there's nothing to say that "Ginos" necessarily have bad attitudes. I'm sickened by the topless muscle-heads, but then again, lots of straight women are sickened by scantily clad babes. They have a right to dress how they please and drive what they can afford.

I don't get it... we hate ginos, we hate thugs, we hate pimps, gays, drunks, and druggies, and we hate candy kids... just exactly who do we like?

I thought maybe it was a vocal remake or something lol but then to my surprise it was the good version, surprising considering they don't play much new stuff or even any good stuff for that matter.

When I refer to ginos... I dont care about the way they dress or look. It is their attitudes that piss the hell out of me The way they act, it is like they are looking down at you. I went to this all-age party once and it was freestyle/dance music filled with a 14-18 age crowd. So I am like whatever, I paid so I might as well enjoy to the fullest. Well I get to the dance floor and the dance music is not bad, the classics from early 90s While dancing, I kept getting this dirty looks as in what the fuck am I doing here. I wanted to smack that silly grin off their faces

If those sort of people will be present at trance events, it will kill the vibe for me. I am not saying they dont have a right to listen to whatever music they want. I will be glad if they like trance. However I would prefer to not have those sort of attitudes and people when I am at a trance event.

I know what you mean. I havn't been to clubs very often but I know what those people are like.

They get jealous because everyone else is cooler then them and more original. All you need to be a gino is something Kappa, some gel and you need to learn the lingo and the hobbies (civics, chillin at the mall, trying on womens clothes, etc.) and if you're your own person they consider you a threat, gonna steal their "brauds" or something

Ginos and their attitudes is a generalizing statement. Obviously most ginos do not have an attitude. Infact, most ginos that I've met are really nice, and with some, I've had the most deepest philosophical discussions.

I have some gino friends at the moment, and they praise me because they know that I'm a "raver" and listen to this "dark hardcore" stuff.

Heh I did not come up with the word gino, I just use it to describe the people I am talking about as everyone names them ginos. Obviously they all do not have the same bad attitudes. However for the most part, the ones that I have encountered are all the same.

I am sure some are alright and just dress that way because they like it or whatever. I try to not judge anyone by their appearance, but for some reason whenever I see a "gino" they tend to prove me right in regards "to their attitude".
