Having not read anything but the original post I say this:

I too have noticed some inconsistancies between what Tiesto says and then does. All that aside, if he's going back to '99 Tiesto, then I will start listening to him again. Damn, that was good stuff...

In my reply, I stated that his comments could have been taken out of context. Besides, the word 'gay' means happy and not the prejudiced term that so many American ppl like to use it for. So can you honestly say that he was saying that trance music is 'gay' in a derogatory way? ESPECIALLY considering that he is probably not keen on the derogatory ways the word 'gay' is used across America being that he is NOT American? I'm not so sure since I wasn't the one who said it, he was. Maybe he meant it that way, maybe he didn't. Only he would know. I think misinterpretation is one of the biggest things that can cause bad rumors.

think about it... 'gay' = 'happy'

Tiesto music throughout the years has become a lot darker. His music selection is definitely still epic trance with dashes of prog/tech but it has a more 'sad' and darker tone to it. So, being that his sound is more 'sad', he would definitely makes comments about Gouryella music being 'happy' a.k.a. 'gay' and therefore something he isn't interested in.

Anyways, that's MY interpretation and i'm sticking to it!
