For an angel is the best trance song ever.

For an Angel isn't just a song, it's the the unofficial anthem for all Loveparades. It's a tribute to the Loveparade ravers and the whole trance/techno youth culture.



Gold Else, on top of the Victory Column, is the centre of the Loveparade. She is the guardian of the event. So that is why Paul van Dyk dedicated this song to that angel.

She is also a symbol of freedom. PVD, being East-German, understands off course the importance of liberty... Without the Wall coming down, he and many others wouldn't be able to express themselves without being afraid of the secret police.

That is why For an Angel is such a damn good song. Not only very well made, it has a deeper meaning. Trance has a lot to do with emotions, feelings etc. Off course many other songs carry a message (Such is life...), but this song reflects a whole movement, the Loveparade, Freedom etc etc

i like most of PVD 's tracks and they sounds beautiful,but i think "nothing but ya" this track is not as great as other of his(too much breakdown at tracks,and de songs is nothing special)

Last year or so, Judge Jules started a new feature in his BBC radioshow, in which he playes classic tracks requested by listeners.

The first time he did this, he played..... For An Angel!

Why? Because this track was requested by far the most!


It's also one of my most favourite tracks from him, together with Tell Me Why, Nothing But You and I Feel You (his remix of the Marco V. tune).

I think PVD's best track is autumn from The Politics of Dancing. I really like that tune. Very nice.

Come on... Words, for an angel... etc i love all pvd's productions and they are all great imo, but nobody has really mentioned AVENUE and ANOTHER WAY!!!
