The ops in ta chat aren't there to keep a chat going. Thats not the point of a mod/op. They are there just to maintain some sort of order if anyone/thing gets out of hand. As for not being able to join the channel. That isn't something that i am aware of being a mode that can be manually set by individual rooms. As it was stated b4 it is a network thing and i can tell you it will be addressed in good time. Till then just register your nick using /nickserv register Sorry thats the best i can do for you guys now.
Its not polite to be calling people names such a "bumbling idiot". The person you are talking about was told about this behaviour awhile ago. Looks like he has forgotten the correct way to behave and i have to smack him around a bit to get him back in line.
The ops that are currently ops in the chanel weren't voted or ask for op status. I was one of the first in the chat when it was up and running and was around all the time. Back then there was a major spammer problem. At the time swamper hadn't assigned any mods and the chat was relatively small. I was in the chat more then i'd like to admit so i was given that responsibility. As to how the other ops were selected is not really my concern.
As for this whole vote thing on these two individuals i think its ridiculous. The chat room is fine as it is imo. Its nothing against these two people as i have rarely spoken to opt and while i speak to jdat on a just about daily basis hes a cool guy. So no offense to them.
