Well, Geeee, I only work at a ProAudio store that has seen too many complaints, thus we no longer carry Vestax mixers,

Yeah, Ok mr. I got my facts backwards, use SEARCH function and find out that Vestax has been going downhill for a few years now. People are more and more preferring Numark, Behringer, and Stanton over Vestax mixers, cause the are POS. There are numerous requests for cross faders and there is nothing that can be done, 'cause they are simply not available. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A REQUEST NOR ORDER FOR ANY PIONEER CROSSFADERS. |
Vestax isnt that bad but they aren't anything special. The PCV faders DO tend to go out far too often if you consider how much they cost.
pioneer uses standard faders as far as I know, and yes they do give out after you scratch on them a while.
Pioneer mixers are overrated. they have poor audio circuitry, which loves to overload and distort.
but they get the job done and just about any DJ can mix on them... and they are way overpriced.
A&H Xone series or the rane empath are the best bang for your buck, IMHO. Sure, lotsa bucks, but LOTS of bang too

Hi There
I know i am a little late with this but hey, i'm gonna say anyway.
I have a Tsacam X9 & i must say its easily the best mixer I have ever used. The quality of the faders, knobs etc.. are much much better than the Pioneer DJM600. I have used the DJM600 quite a bit & i just felt it felt a bit cheap & not got that top quality feel.
One thing that is better on the Pioneer though is the fx's. Although the fx's on the Tascam as extremely good & I love using them, the pioneer fx's re better and a little easier to use. But other than that, the Tascam kicks the ass out of the Pioneer.

I think you should spend the money from the get go.. Buy an A&H zone 62. or buy the DJM-600.. A*H first choice
