Sorry for the late review.. but Toronto just makes me sad and sick after even a weekend elsewhere.
Anyways, I thought the party was great. I wasn't really in the dancing mood, but the atmosphere was wicked. I mean, the crowd, as said previously, is what it is and we knew that, but what's really great is that everyone's smiling and enjoying it - even the boucers!!! (fucking Toronto is never gonna be even remotely close to that)
Kleinenberg was really pleasant. That is exactly the word I am looking for. I enjoyed the music a lot. I know, waiting to hear him live for 2 years, I maybe expected him to blow me away, but I just loved it. Sooooo smooth and wicked.
Other than that, the ventilation was nice, there was no cloud of smoke and sweat above you, but I was cold the entire night (cause we were running along Ste Catherine in the rain before, waiting for Stereo to open.. and well, ended up in interesting places). The unisex washrooms tripped me out too, and then I realized that I should just accept it that Montreal is not Canada.
If it wasn't for the October-like weather in Montreal most of the weekend (thank god it was nice during the race on Sunday), it would have been great. Thanx Ortemy for the passes and to you and Durafei for hanging out with us on Friday. We were too lost to call you later.
I always regretted not moving to Montreal and McGill when I had the chance. Fuck Toronto & UofT (from the bottom of my heart)
