What an unbelievable night. Where to start. Well my roomate, DrGoodvibe and myself arrived there around 11 pm. Guest list line went smooth even though it was large. A lot better than the last time. So we got in and the club was fairly empty...I was a bit surprised because last TA night, we got there around 11:15 and the VIP was rammmed and there was a few people roaming around in the main room. By 12:00 the VIP room was rammed and the main room was filling quickly. I really enjoyed all the TA sets that were going on in the VIP room. Why was the VIP room like a sauna. I've never seen that room that hot ever. I couldn't stay in there longer than 10 mintues before I started to feel faint. As well the speakers kept fading in and out, and when they came back on, they were far too loud making it very difficult to talk. Not sure what was going on in there that night. Hernan came on around 12:30 (assumption here because I forgot what he did come on) and his set was unbelievable. He dropped so many wicked tunes, it kept me going all night. Too bad DrGoodvibe had to leave so early but he wasn't feeling well. You missed a great night dude. I kept going in and out of the VIP room all night and I wanted to stay in longer but it was just too hot for me. There were a couple of great tracks that Eso dropped right near the end of his set...my favourite PVD - For an Angel and Rank 1 - Airwave. Walter Mindz's set was a little to hard for me so I went back into the main room for the rest of the night. Left System around 6:15 and went to Nick Warrens after party with my roomate Mike and Nat Nick Warren was off but we danced for a little while to the beat of DJ Ashley. Left there around 7:15 and came back to my house to relax a bit while nat made all her plans for the rest of the weekend up at a friends cottage. What a great night.

Wicked Wicked Wicked night!!!!!!!

9:00 - Departure to Toronto from Hamilton with buddies Tyson, Steve, Ian. Drove like a maniac since i was so excited and got to Toronto in about a half hour. A new world record btw. Had some time to kill so we walked around town for an hour or so. Went down by the Much Music building to scope some of the hotties on Electric Circus. Didnt stay long as i felt myself slowly transforming into a gino. Stopped by Hooters, and just gazed in the window as if we had never seen spandex in our lives.

10:15 - Get in line @ System. Ran into Diginut, enter da club. Chilled in the VIP room for the most part of the first hour and ran into quite a few familiar faces, and some new ones. Chatted it up with cono_sur, drewfactor, Time2burn, The Highroller (youngin), Dj Hordash, Skipper, Tatgirl, Endlesswave, Swamper, Itikia. I know im forgetting a few of you, please forgive me. It was kinda hot in the VIP room, and i was really looking forward to Hernan, so we split for the main room around 12:30. Pretty empty early in the night, but filled up quite fast right up until 1:00. Then, on came Cattaneo.

12:00 - Turned 23!!!!!!!!

12:30 - No introduction was needed. This guy just got on the decks and did his thing. I honestly can say ive never danced so hard in my life. There was plenty of room, and the vibe was great. Spent the first part of his set dancin up a storm with Mike and Jenna Rae (you guys rock!!!) His music was just so dancable, and the track selection was bang on. Flawless effortless mixing throughout his set. It kind of lacked flow, but it didnt matter....he just played so many bangers, and hit such a range of genres throughout the set that kept me in the zone. Everything from funky progressive, to dirty breaks, just complete madness. It was nice to tear up the dance floor with Mirza again (i think the last time was Richie and Sven). I cant remember many tracks at all (since most of them i either didnt know the title, or it was just too new to id) but one that sticks out was a Mary J Blige breaks remix. Not sure of the exact title, but i was flying to that track. My buddies Steve and Ian dont usually tear it up on the dancefloor, but they lasted right til the end with theyre fists pumping like mad!! Probebly the best set of the year so far for me, i must say.

5:00 - I think this is when his set was done, i cant really remember too clearly. I did get to meet him, shook his hand, and thanked him for making my birthday such a blast. Tatgirl then came as i was chillin with Hernan at the bar, and snapped a pretty good shot i believe. Definately a bday to remember. Cant wait til this guy comes back, he really did more than i expected him to do.

6:00 - Spent.

6:15 - Hop in my car, drive back to the boonies. (Dundas)

7:30 - Doobie time

8:30 - Tiger Woods 2k3 golf for an hour

9:30 - ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Thats a Luke Fair production...!

One track that really stuck out for me (during Hernan's set) was a remix of that Eddie Amadour track...you know the one that goes "not everybody understands house music, it's a body thing, it's a soul thing etc...." What a crazy remix! Anybody know who did that mix?

The best was when he dropped that really really melodic type prog track (a Holden production) wowz!

Und ich tanz einfach weiter...

i got into the club at about 10:40 or so, while matt went to park the car. I heard the end of mecha's set. I enjoyed the tracks that he played. DJ Mute took the decks and played very well as I expected, since he rocked it last time. My boys matt and eric (AKA Vagrant)went on at 12:30 and started off w/ some nice proggy breaks. They changed it up a bit and finished w/ some bangin' prog. Matt layered an original Snashing Pumpkins track over beats which procured a nice crowd response. I spent the rest of my time at system coming back and forth from the mainroom to the VIP. I wish I could have been in 2 places at once, because I wanted to hear both hernan and DJ ESO and Walter Mindz spin! I really really adore Hernan's sound- such a solid set! DJ Eso and Walter Mindz came through with great sets! i was dancing a fair bit when I had come into the VIP room to sit down and rest!


It was fantastic to see so many of you again and to meet some new TA's as well!

Hey everyone That was yet another great TA event. It was fun to see so many familiar and friendly faces, both old and new. And Eric and I had quite a good deal of fun playing. After the breaks pretty much cleared the room out, and we decided to change tactics and go with some pumpin' melodic proggy stuff, things seemed to go much bettah So thank you to anyone who was enjoying our set And special thanks to John for both organizing yet another successful event, and having us back to rock a peaktime slot. You rock And props to all the other DJs as well, I caught all of Mute's set, which was quite fun, bangin', and nicely mixed.
