I just graduated from high school and I'm going into computer engineering in September, but I've always loved English class. (I'm hardly a literature major.) Anyways, in my opinion, the ending that is proposed by this theory is excellent (I won't comment on the theory itself until I've explored it some more, but I must say I like it nonetheless). It's the same kind of emptiness you feel after reading, or watching a performance of, for example, Hamlet. There's a sadness, but still something redemptive in it. I'm not saying that they're similar, but there's still a sense of tragedy common in both.

galvatron's theory may well be right, but i guess we won't really find out till november, so for now im gonna stand by my own theory (i posted it in one of the other threads)

An EMP in a movie usually only renders electronics useless for a few minutes.
As in Ocean's Eleven or that John Travolta/Christian Slater movie (can't remember the name)...

The EMP goes off, shuts everything down and then a few minutes later, everything is back on. That's movie science.
