Hehe. He's had his own record label since 1997...If I had the $$, I'd start my own too...lol.
p.s. His label does rock. The only two releases which I think most people would agree suck are:
Dance Nation- Dance! and
Snap- Rhythm is a Dancer (magik muzik remix)
*shudder*

"Tranceaddict.com" and "togetherness" are oxymorons. Sorry to Swamper for my saying that, but the flamage level here is insane.

Tiesto had no part in the "Magik Muzik" remixes.

Dave didn't say that, he said that Dance Nation- Dance! and
Snap- Rhythm is a Dancer (magik muzik remix)were the only two Black Hole releases that suck.

Well, I have met Tiesto twice (last November and early June), and he was super nice to me both time and willing to talk. WHen I talked to him in early June, he actually remembered me from our meeting in November - that was rad.
I actually asked him to do an quick Q&A with me and he said he would, but he had a flight at 7:30am or something (and he finished his set at 5am that night)....and told me next time he was in town for me to find him and he'll be sure to remember me and do it if he had the time then.
I would have to disagree with all you people who say he is a bad DJ...I had the pleasure of meeting the man and he spun a 30 min set at virgin megastores in Chicago....i was literally 5 ft. away from him while he was spinning and it was flawless...also Tiesto plays most of the full track....I hate when DJs tear apart songs by playing just like 2 minute selections and then mixing it into something else

Trance is a music to dance to and have fun.
fucking trance geeks, stay home!
don't fucking diss tiesto, dumb shits, he's risponsible in great parts for the "construction" of trance music. Do you guys all lost your memories? maybe you should slow down on the Es and pot

wheres that thumbs up icon.. ive never read a post i agreed with more.. id also like to add that people who havnt been in the scene for long enough to see that tiesto is at least one of the more talented djs, probably hasnt been listening to trance very long.
his impact on the trance scene has been gi-normous and if it weren't for him i'd say the scene would be very different, especially in the states.

what people fail to realize is that beat matching is never going to be perfect. your taking two tracks that have diffrent bpms, bass lines and so on and mixing them together. the tracks that djs spin arnt produced so that one can mix into the other...its up to the dj to make it sound as if they were. all you fools out there that talk about having a 'trained ear' can lick my ace. most of you are the ones that bash the shit out of a dj when he does train wreck. what you should be doing is giving that dj props for making a smooth recovery. and one more thing....a dj's set isnt all about mixing skills. im sure you can all remember a time when your favorite dj was spinning and all the sudden he just dropped a sick ass track right on your head...you had no clue it was even coming. i love it when that happens
