Simple fact is that despite CDs being better value for money on the pound per track scale, long term investment is nothing.

wrong, distant voices was only pressed to 100 copie son cd unlike the 250 on vinyl, hence why the cd gets more om ebay.

theres also 100 copies of rapture armin mix on cd,
100 copies of lsg netherworld on cd

and im sur ehtere others, so there are rare cds.

Heres my point.

If you cant find a record you are looking for on vinyl anywhere, the next best solution is CDR So stop bashing CD technology just because it doesnt look "cool" to you, as the crowd doesnt give a shit what format you use.

good point. as i said b4, tiesto and pvd use cds constantly in their sets and everyone seems to like them on the whole, adn you cant tell what thyre using in their sets - THATS how much sound quality difference is.

But here's the kicker: I can easily pick up a bootleg of ANY of those cd's with no loss of quality whatsoever. Try doing that with a vinyl.

the long term investment of a cd is that is doesnt wear down, unless you scratch it, and even at that, you can still fix it, a scratched vinyl, you might as well use a frisbee, although i myself like to collect vinyl and would rather have it over the cd copy, but having both is good too

also, let us not turn this into a vinyl vs cd thread. if you think vinyl sounds better than cd, then that is your own preference. just because you dj with cds, doesnt mean you are not a real dj. there are bpm counters on a lot fo mixers these days, so you could say what you wish, soemone wiht vinyls can use the bpm counter and do the same thing as the cdjs with the bpm counter, so ya whatever

I love how everyone begins their post with a CD vs Vinyl point then ends their post saying lets not turn this into a debate.

Give it up already, this is about Gamemaster!

Well, I smartly bought CD1 and CD2 of gamemaster on Hooj Choons when they came out.
Mixes:-
Original
Signum remix
Signum edit
Lost Tribes '99 mix
Under the red sea <---------- B side

As for their rarity on CD, I have no idea. All I know is that I have never seen them again and I only know one other person who has both. But it cant be that rare because it was an official release.
The vinyl was obviously officially released too, and I see no reason why the vinyl and CD versions hould not be worth the same, its the same tune.

Ok i was wondering is it really true that the Distant Voices Ep on vinyl was only limited to 250 copies???

I also got the "promotional copy" version and not the one with HOOJ on the front....is that more rarer?

But i'm really happy nonetheless to have this, but was hoping to get the other version of Gamemaster...is this the more rare version?
