I made my first "real" track something like 2 years ago (date file created: June 14 2003).

One and a half years now! My tracks sounded horrible before I bought a set of studio headsets. Now my tracks sound way more pro. But I need at least one year still I think, to reach the point I'm after. As far as composition is concerned, I'll improve as long as I'm having fun with it I guess!
