We schedule out broadcasts weeks, sometimes months in advance. When we get a comitment from an artist to do a set for us, we schedule them for a specific date. What has happened in the past is that we get the set from a DJ in advance, and the sets then get played on other internet stations before our scheduled broadcast. The Tiesto set from from this week was supposed to be aired the week of our GDJB winner broadcast (Before anybody else heard it). But it did not arrive until the tuesday after the show aired. We had no choice but to run Tiesto's July 4th set on that date since we advertised it heavily. Blame Fed Ex I suppose. We work closely with the DJ's labels to help promote these artists. Netwerk did ask us to run the set anyways and apoligized for the situation. And since there are about 100,000+ people listening to the show each week, the few that have heard these sets before will just have to get over themselves and deal with it.
In the future if this happens, we suggest reading a magazine for an hour until the set is over, and rejoin the broadcast after instead of bitching on multiple threads about the same thing.
(But then again we could just feature guest DJ's only once a month instead of 2 guests per week, then we would never have this problem)
