With his ASOT sets he doesn't necessarily have enough resources to create the exact mood/atmosphere that he wants to because he is playing the newest promos he's getting.

Given the chance to dig back into what he played in the last few months creating a compilation with the exact progression that he wanted is possible.

The "mix" is not just about the tracklist. I think some of you have lost that point because you're chewing up the CD already just because of the tracks. It's the creativity in transitions and the mood that the set evokes. That's what's important.

Very well said. I couldn't agree more. Everyone who is bashing this compilation already are totally spoiled rotten. I listen to ASOT just about every week, and I'm very excited about this cd. I don't care that some of the songs have been around a while, its not like they are that old in the first place. Just as other people said, most Armin fans don't listen to the show every week, so to the masses, this cd is appealing.

pfff... I will definitely buy this one! Since I dont buy vinyl it's great to have all those ASOT on CD. This tracklist is HUGE! I thinks this compilation doesn't have one bad track at all. Especially track 8, will be 1 or 2 in TOTY year list.

After hearing it I must say that I still like his AVB 00x compilations better though...

I just downloaded the whole cd and can say it is nice, as soon as i can i'll order it.

6 Of my favorites are on it:
Scarab - Vagabond
Midway - Amazon
Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes (AvB's Universal Religion Remix)
Electrique Boutique feat. Taz - Heal (12" Instrumental Mix)
Laura Turner - Souldeep (Signum Dub)
M.I.K.E. - Turn Out The Lights

Already heard them at asot off course, but it's always good to have them on an original cd and without talking in it.

I noticed that the songs on 004 - Transparance were also played on his ASOT Episodes before.

That's funny! Been listening to this CD for 2 days now and I'm slowly getting attached. Very epic in it's sound and uplifting at the same time. Defineatly another long car ride cranker.

True, but the problem is that it just stops. Transparance CD2 builds on the mood created by CD1. There isn't really anything that stands out here.
