well im lucky coz here in greece at partys we dont have(yet) mcs bitching around and destroying a set...but we have somethin else..i remember when i saw oakey there was a stupid man playing a tribal shit(dont know the word for the instrument) and he was ruining oakeys breakdowns...and i remember after some hour oakey looked at him in a very serious and nervous way and the guy just stopped and we didnt heard him from that point...it was very funny...

the idea is i was gonna say if u say u like MCs, an output says STFU. Something like that

damn that would have been a fun program to see!! hehe yeah mcs with trance are terrible!! i was at a club once and some dj was playing when some mc started 'being cool'. after like 30 seconds the dj turned off a TT motor and let the track spin out, and then took some mic, said shut up, muted the MCs mic, and then started the track up again. ahhh it was so sweet!!!!

The ASOT MC isn't too bad. I think he makes an effort not to talk when the good parts come. But in general they should not be there even in a radio set.

Well, lets be honest, there isnt much 'music' there to start with, so enhancing it isnt hard...

Great to try and dance to in a club tho.

How can you say that? you must be joking? If you arent have you ever tried DJing? No one can beatmatch their first time, it takes practice, then as you get better you must gain knowledge of new technologies and master those to implement them as well, i would like to see any fucking MC do what james zabiela does, any one, i doubt they could come close to his level even after a year of straight practice.

Anyone can grab a mike and ruin everyones evening it doesnt take anything more than a few drinks to make an ass of yourself. Djing is a job, especially when you start producing.

As for the rippers whining, i want evangelists voice in the rip haha, i thought that was fucking priceless and i would laugh my ass of everytime i heard it when i was repeating the set heh.

Anyone can be an MC. DJs need to know all the equipment they use and have a good ear for music. With electronica specifically, they need to remember how a song sounds so they know what they can make a transition into. Anyone can be an MC, like the one on Ferry's set, and ruin the entire damn thing.

This particular MC must be the most hated MC on TA ever!

The guy sounded very much like the MC who MCs @ the Matrix nightclub? I'll never forget he's trademark:

"If you can't handle it, then get the F***K out!"

bahahaha

I do agree that in terms of uplifting/driving trance, MC's shouldnt be involved - but for stuff like Drum N Bass, or even funky prog-house, it gives the set more atmosphere [of course, provided the MC's tone and flow goes with the music].
Agreed also to Pete Tong being a good MC.

i was just about to talk about that guy, i have a video of ferry playing at matrixx nijmegen and there's a guy standing behind him and ruining everything by screaming random shit into the mic

if i were ferry, i'd turn around, knee the guy in the nuts and bash his skull into a bloody pulp with the microphone.

MCs and telemarketers are two jobs that should be erased from the face of the earth and people who are willing to work in such positions should be shot and sent to hell.
