Arrow Hello??? Threadstarter here!!! but...

You didnt answer my question really (although to be fair I asked more than one)...
Rakoon has done the best answering my question... So if I created a tune and labeled it
Digital Aura Dream Mix then it would be an original version ... and not to be confused with something i rehashed and labeled Digital Aura's Dream Remix .

That's what I was trying to get at. And I think that's what Rakoon was saying... I think...

Uhh... nobody's saying you have to do so, it's just the most clear way to name things. You can name your tunes/remixes however you feel like.

Dunno, really - I think reconstructing liveset rips is a bit pointless tbh...

Hang on, there's a few others-

Reinterpretation- this was used by Oliver Lieb when he remixed Okenfold's Starry Eyed Surprise

Translation- FSOL used this on Papua New Guinea when they were remaking the track, basically it means translating the original into another kind of music.

Then there's this reconstruction thing, which isn't what you guys think, e.g:

New Order- Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix)

Queens of the Stone Age -No One Knows (UNKLE Reconstruction Radio Edit)

Which, having listened to these tracks, means to take the vocals and put them over a totally different style of music, in these cases hard house and drum & bass.

Hey...that sounds freakish! What songs do you know of have ripped the vocals this way and put them to other music?? (besides the two above).

I was trying to say that your original version would be called Dream Mix and your remix would be called Digital Aura's Pancakes Mix, hypothetically.
