J_spot: That's odd. One of the only things the V600's HAVE is really loud, boomy midbass, and I believe that the beats are midbass, correct? 80-120 hz? you are talking about the whump whump whump in the background, right? The V600's, to my knowledge, can't do anything BUT those whump whump whumps...
I think something is messed up in your setup...or are the beats lower than that (If they are, than that's probably why; the V600's don't go very low)

NZWaverider,
http://www.musiclab.com.au/ has the 7506's for 250, but you can probably negotiate it down a little, if you try, and say you've found it for cheaper elsewhere. *Pause* how much is that USD?

Of course they don't have any bass. Like I said, they have bloated midbass (I believe that we are disagreeing about the midbass. They can't reproduce it accurately, of course, but there is a LOT of it...), which is why I asked if the beat was lower than midbass, and, if it was, it would be the reason that he can't hear it...

Max2LC,
Why does EVERY DJ think the V700's are great? they SUCK! JUST LIKE THE REST OF THE V###DJ line, which sounds the same!! Read this ENTIRE thread to find out why! The things suck! Get a set of mdr-v6's...or if you want something that sounds like the V700's (only better), get the Koss UR-20's for $25...sheesh...why pay $160 for a headphone when you can get one that sounds the same for $25, and one that sounds better for $80? I just don't understand...
And about all the good dj's using bad tools? They've all been bought out by Sony, silly, and have learned to compensate for using bad tools (IE, the V700DJ) by not using them as a basis for how the mix sounds (just using them for beat matching, NOT equalization or anything else important).
