i touched on the same thing from my persepective, merely stating what i feel about this whole thing, not arguing. hence the reason i didnt quote anyone. and the thread went off topic before didnt it? at least the above came from a discussion of the essential mix.

i disagree. a dj can easily keep his set interesting by using the same track twice, it just has to be done cleverly... for example it can be played once for a sort of sample, with a nice and quick mix out... only to come back later when the time is right. i haev nothing against this. pvd has done this is in the past... but lately im afraid he plays any good tracks twice when he first gets them hahaha.
