Its funny the negative reaction you get from posting a scientific article... Maybe it's due to their sudden realization that they have been destroying their bodies more than they had thought? lol

Ive used E and felt long term side effects from it.. not good.

Like what?
How do u know it was the e causing them?

Yeah, denial is the first step, then comes the frustration.

Mental side effects, memory loss, low motivation, sick sometimes etc.
How do I know it was the E? Its impossible to definitively say the cause of anything, but before E -> fine, after E -> cant remember shit, cant focus, foggy state of mind etc...
Not good for someone like me in a hardcore uni program...

The thing is, any effects would probably take many years to become noticable. And during that time loads of things couldve happened to cause those symptoms. Like hitting ur head, medical problems, change in personality, exhaustion, fake/laced pills, drinking too much etc

Does brain damage from huffing gas take years to notice?? Probably days... Im not making a comparison between the 2, just showing that the length of time it takes for the damage to occur could possibly be anything really...

The concensus is that E causes memory loss, the phrase "e-tarded" came from somewhere... its not a special case with me. I really think there is something happening there, hopefully soon there will be some studies to prove/disprove this.

It depends on the amount of damage and what gets damaged. E doesnt do damage that would be noticable within a short amount of time. Even then, it probably wouldnt cause most of the symptoms u mentioned. AT least it hasnt been proven to.

The phrase "e puts holes in ur brain" came from somewhere too, doesnt mean that actually happens.

i don't even do X and i still think that article was bullshit. i heard that e causes some sort of permanent damage to the brain but e causing dna mutation doesn't sound right to me...this is just another one of those "drugs are bad" stories designed to keep the public scared of raves.

"Cocaine and ecstasy have proved to be more dangerous than we had imagined," said Giorgio Bronzetti, chief scientist at the National Center for Research's (CNR) biotechnology department.

"These drugs, on top of their toxicological effects, attack DNA provoking mutations and altering the hereditary material. This is very worrying for the effects it could have on future generations," he said.

I think he may know a little more than you on the topic...

Thumbs up

PumaVisor's got my vote. A man's gonna do what he wants to, short of violating one of those commandments or something like blowing someone's friggin' brains out. A little bit of drugs to make life more interesting makes it more interesting. We all take some kind of drug daily be it alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, or whatever... If you get some kinda mutation by doing drugs, then that's the end of the family history line I reckon---unless you read the Toxic Avenger comics.

This is just like when they said lsd does genetic damage or whatever. Just because a scientist says something doesnt mean that information is reliable. And when governments are involved, there is a good chance that its complete bs, and thats what i think this is.
