if you are the thread starter, you can close the thread you started.

Agreed. Any threads that are "Look at my new blah de blah" or "I've just done something very uninteresting" really don't warrant a response and it's threads like this that are diluting the interesting content of the forums.

Threads that will invoke pointless spamming. These are usually threads where the creator has put no effort into thinking of something worthwhile to say, but feels obliged to make a post about basically nothing.

Also threads with "hahahahahaha" as the thread name should be instantly recognised as garbage. Fair enough if it's a funny picture - post it - but do it in the right forum.

It's a shame TA is getting overrun by this kinda rubbish. As I said earlier, I'm now literally filtering through the pish to find a subject that is worthy of a reply...

I've been on ta almost 3 yrs and it does not surprise me of the idiocy that we have on these boards. People who get bored and for the only purpose to amuse themselves, they start useless threads (you people know who you are). Some others have useless replies not even related to the threads. It's pathetic and tranceaddict is suffering because of it. So I'll make a bold statement to the idiots..either shape up or ship out.

Just ban Merton and the idiocy will drop back to acceptable levels, he even admitted he posts useless shit.

As Montie said, I just try to ignore it now, and stick to the rest of the forums unless I can spot a worthwhile thread here in Chill Out. Some of them are hilarious which is why I started visiting this area, but the majority are downright pointless. =\

Here's a hint though, if you have to keep closing threads, why not just suspend those people who keep starting them? Then you won't have to close threads all the time.
