not enough to be comfortable yet. let's just say "average"

for me, at the moment, living at home with parents when trying to save (for my trip to europe and an investment opportunity) really helps.

i'm not really in pursuit of the high (70-100K) range. Depends on the role and what responsibilities come with it. Many people with high incomes also have high expenditures (and/or tax) so it's not always better to be on a higher salary. of course, if you're one of those lucky people who get paid heaps for doing virtually nothing.. then you're my hero.

statistically, less than 10% (or is it 5%) of all australians are truly financially free by the time they retire.

I earn alright money, get paid by the hour, and there's a lot of travelling involved which I enjoy, especiall since it's always all expenses paid (As in food, accommodation and travel time and kms)

Only problem I have is that when work runs out, well it runs out. And u have next to no income.

And this working + uni thing is not good.

Especially when u get the opportunity to do a 70hour+ week while uni is happening... u can't.

wtf is up with you lot?

I gather this feud is in relation to prior social convictions you had with one another but theres no need for hostilities - especially considering that we all used to be good mates.

I hardly think a fucking job title nor the wording of a post should be the basis of future friendships (if any). Its the internet - get over it.

As far as im concerned you can be the fucking CEO of Sony but if you dont know how to do ur job (not saying that any of u dont) but a 'title' means nothing - a title means nothing more than climbing higher on a social hierarchy and gaining extra responsibilities despite improved 'pay'.

Im not taking sides here by any degree and infact i shouldnt have intruded on ur petty argument but just lay off with the hostilities - id like to think i know you lot pretty well and would assume ur alot more mature than this.

Disagree with me? PM me. Id be more than happy to respond.

BTW: Merry Christmas to everyone

crasher-kid...

ur a bit late - there aint been anythin negative in this thread for a few days....looked to me like it'd gone back to bein perfectly innocent!!

but as an aside....conflict is human nature - a world without conflict simply isn't possible...and, if it was, what a boooooring world it would be.....everybody is never gonna just get along, or be nice to each other.....and this being just an internet board isn't gonna change that!! since when did TA have to be 100% fluffy lovey dovey "we're all mates here" positivity?? meh....TA isn't fantasy land

and btw, u haven't posted on TA in forever - and ur first post on ur return is to jump down everyone's throats and dictate how u want the board to be?? sheesh.......

and don't take it personally, cos u know i luv ya....in fact, couple of us have been worried bout u since u seemed to drop off the planet after HSC results came out.....so, very glad to know ur alive and well come on msn sometime!!!

(if i seem a lil hostile, sorry....it's xmas day, combined with that time of the month....NOT a good combo....hehehehe)
