what about Philly?.. i dont' know what they do.. but there seems to be a need for something decent there.. cuz everyone from up there says there isn't anything there?..
ANY PHILLY PEEPS ON TA HERE TO ANSWER? i would personally travel to philly before bmore cuz i've got family there so i'd have a place to stay the night.. but thats being selfish.. but would NYC Peeps be more willing to come to Philly? and does philly have the peeps to support this night weekly when there is just residents there? since i don't think bmore does...cuz they all come down to DC and we DC'r's will only consider traveling for something big!

I REALLY LIKE THE BUS IDEA! Maybe a discount on entrance fee if you bus.. and better yet.. maybe a small liquor service on the bus if its allowed.. better yet.. you'll know that at least the people on the bus will be drinking at the venue with no worries about getting back!.. LOL more money for you!

Yep, you can drink on the bus and would gain VIP entrance into the club. No waiting in the lines

i went to school in philly for 4 years so i could say a little bit about it. correct me if i'm wrong philly TAs... philly has the same liquor laws as baltimore it seems, meaning clubs/bars/etc. close at 2 am. obviously this puts a damper on things. recently tiesto, pvd and roger sanchez were at transit, and i believe i read somewhere that their sets went later than 2 am. transit seems to be one of THE places in philly that houses trance and house music nights but they don't seem to happen on a regular basis. fluid is another place in philly, where josh wink holds a (i believe) monthly residence. i saw erick morillo there in may and the crowd was really really small (i guess cuz it was also wednesday night ). the dance floor is no larger than a huge living room there, which i was kinda surprised by. even tho i started listening to trance and house my last two years at upenn, i really wanted to hit up a club that catered to this type of music but didn't know where to go. i think going to penn might've had something to do with that. my first big club night that i went to was pvd right here at home in ny in april at the roxy, so yea i had to travel for that i guess. regardless, and tho i can't say this with complete confidence because i'm not a native of philly, i think philly could use another event that happens on a regular basis. it would definitely add to the scene there.

How are you gonna finance 1 party a month? It might seem like it would be cheaper than scheduling events for friday and saturday night every week, but in actuality you would be making alot less money. Unless you intend to finance a hole-in-the-wall spot you wont be making alot of money. You need to pay rent and bills and drinks (not liquor), whatever it may be.

Vlad, it's easier to finance one a month vice every week. It just depends on the capacity of the club, and the deal you work out with them.
We are just promoting in an club we don't have to pay rent or any of the overhead involved with running a club

We still have a lot of work to do, and a whole bunch of legal issues that come along with starting a business. As of now, our schedule has the first party starting in Aug.
Don't worry when it comes down to 3 months out we will be flyering, opening a web site, and running magazine ads like crazy. People will know about it.
I will also canvas this site first for some of the jobs we will have to offer.

Of course I always welcome the idea of new EDM clubs in the mid-atlantic area...even though I am wishing for more techno right now and dont really care about more trance
my main problem with your idea is the Baltimore factor
Baltimore fucking sucks
for me that would mean having to free up two days in order to travel to & from, and if Im partying all night, I'm not gonna want to drive 3 hours back home, so I would need somewhere to stay too. When I have work & school all week, that starts to become quite a hassle. So unless the party/ DJs were truely spectacular, it probably wouldn't be worth it to me. Baltimore is relativly close, but at the same time, it is just far enough away for me not to want to go. I could take off the same amount of time and goto NYC for the night, which would be a lot more fun for me...Baltimore holds nothing else of interest for me except for annoying Baltimorean accents.

Philly is dead in the water. Tryed, failed. Not enough demand for it here.
