There's the opposite that makes me tick all the time. I take my trance mixes to work to have a little something to listen to and of course all the time people say:"Oh you like techno music, ha ?" I don't remember ever taking a techno mix to work, sometimes it was chill out and the reactions didn't change. Anything other than rap, rock or house that has electronic instruments in it most people will call techno and most of the time trying to explain the difference will turn out to be a total waste of time.

whether you like it or nots kids, dj sammy & flip & fill etc ARE trance, theyre just really tacky and commercial (unlike all other trance acts....hahaha)

Most people who have no idea about trance call those artists trance here in germany - that kinda makes me sick.
I agree on Andain - Beautiful Things not being trance. I'd rather think it's kind of a progressive sound with much influences from pop (esp. the G&D Unplugged Mix).
