Tell him to read the book "into thin air". The wife of the owner of MTV is part of the climbing party involved there. She typifies the "I can do anything I want because I'm rich" attitude. It's an excellent read.

I am going to have to cut her out and when she is ready then I will decide if I want to be involved with her.....wish me luck
Resolution number 2, get a company started with my friend, it should be a success.
Number 3 set myself back on track to go back to school to become a
chiropractor, right now I have some university and college, and I work as a athletic development coach, but I know I am capable of more so I want to go for chiro...

Never climbed a mountain in his life but wants to start, I told him, they would not give him the permit to climb the mountain because he had not climbed some south american peak which is the needed mountain before getting a valid permit. So in 2004, I may take up climbing for a while....not planning to climb any big peaks.
Climbing K2 is not a joke. Is he planning on paying people to carry him up to the summit? cuz in that case it wouldn't be considered "Climbing"
^^ here's a pic of the school I used to attend with K2 in the background. I miss the beautiful view I woke up to each morning.

I know climbing any of the 8000m+ mountains is NO JOKE...they are not easy (well mr.everest is not as bad compared to k2, annapurna and others). The other ones have not had many ppl hit the summit. Everest had 2000 ppl hit the summit...since 1953 but the others have not. None of these mountains are easy and all have their tremendous hazards. I think my friend will take yrs to do this because you need to learn and start climbing low stuff then move up. Speaking of mountains in 2004, an american who is 45 (has climbed everest 5 times and 13 of the 14 highest peaks in the world without oxygen will make his 3rd attempt to summit ANNAPURNA (one of world's nastiest mountains to climb). He gave up twice..i mean 45 yrs old and probably the top mountain climber in the world attempts in June I believe to become the 12th person to climb all 14 highest peaks and just the 2nd to do it without oxygen (reinhold messener is the other).

To be honest I never make new years resolutions. If I am going to improve my life, I'll do it a date I set, not one thats mandatory.
Besides, the kind of resolutions your suppose to make, I've already broken by last call

I'm sure he must have been climbing since he was very young. There was a 70-year-old Japanese who climbed the Everest last year...just unbelievable! At that age, I'm sure the majority of us will have problems just moving around.

don't procastinate <-- already broken this one.. YEESH!
hit the gym some more <-- Day 2, have gone to the gym once, lets see if i can keep it up..
bring up GPA @ school.. <-- It shouldnt be hard, I mean i've dealt with harder stuff -- but grrr see first broken resolution.
get more sleep! <-- Bahahahah I think if I add up all the half an hours and hour stints here and there it'll add up to 8 hours of sleep
make more money! <-- though currently I am, I'm still in search of a better job!
lastly... spend LESS time online <--- yea who are we kidding!!
why don't people start with little goals then work their way up to a bigger goal. I mean certain goals take yrs to complete but if you start small with achievable goals and you achieve those, you do not feel that bad. Problem with resolutions imo is that ppl start with HUGE goals and they don't reach the huge goal (some take yrs to achieve) and feel bad. Start small then work yer way up....I mean hell I looked at dropping 50 pounds as impossible, so I decided to set small goals and achieve them and yrs later, I thank myself for it because you don't feel that bad not achieving something right away.

its all in the wording my friend..
"get more sleep" doesnt mean.. I'm going to get 9 hours of sleep every night!!
"bing up GPA @ school" doesnt mean I'm going to get a 4.0 this term or die trying!
"make more money" doesnt mean I'm going to make 60G this year!
it all just means more then the last, even the smallest bit is an improvement!!!
