fuckin right dave.

ever since hearing your interview on ASOT and reading some of your posts on here, your attitude has been straight up, no bullshitting with anyone.

you make music because it's something that drives you and i don't think you make a track and try to gear it towards a certain audience. wondering how many records/cd singles it'll sell.

i dont think you guys have ever really made a song in the intention of it being radio friendly, fuck the radio, this shit is for the dancefloor - and i think that is your intention.

and people who sit behind their keyboards and tear apart every new track and constantly compare it to past successes of the artist, well, maybe they're just trying to bring their post count up, or maybe they have nothing better to do..

see you guys in Toronto on the 17th. and please play imagination.

Hey dave, great replies here! Happy new year!

Can't wait to hear the new motorcycle.

And yes ATRC(SS mix) has been THE tune of 2003, but why try to fit such a great tune into a 3-minute radio version. That doesn't work at all, but hell, you still need food

Yeah really cool replies, but I think the guy was only expressing his anguish at delayed releases and wasnt looking to troll or start a flame war.

Have a great new year and give us more songs like the remix of One for the road...

long ago and far away in land before mp3's there was an industry. it was called the music industry. this little bad boy would sign up all the acts that it deemed commercially viable and then scheduled their release when the time was right. the music industry had a handle on how it worked, when people would hear things and when they would be able to own a copy of the song. then came along the mp3 and of course, the mp3 downloading site. then things got really crazy. people would record their favorite dj's and post thier sets online for all to hear.

as this was happening this band named motorcycle recorded a song called "as the rush comes" in december 2002 and soon after decided to play it on a radio show. little did they know that everyone would tape this radio show and trade it all over the net. they hadn't even shopped the song to any record label and had no idea that so many people would identify with it. so, while the slow process of signing the record to a label was happening, fans of the song decided it was getting tired, while singing it every weekend when they would go out dancing. meanwhile, the record label was gearing to put this record out, but these things take time and planning so that they might be able to conceptualize the band and perhaps give them a future career. meanwhile, the fans grumbled. "no motorcycle released as a cd single." (insert frowny face here)

basically what i'm saying (after having quite a few glasses of wine) is that the music industry has not caught on to the pace that the kids are at. it's nobody's fault that this song is only getting a commercial cd single release this coming monday, jan 5th. i just hope you all understand that we're not trying not let you have the song, it's just that this song caught fire long before the bean counters could take notice and act upon it. hopefully, success of songs like ATRC in the charts will open doors at labels for songs and artists like this earlier and bring the music to the fans faster.

i'm just happy that it has touched so many lives in a positive way : )

This is my tune of the year 2004 definately!!!!!!

no seriously i don´t know why we should hype any tune here..

TA is not a pop community (shouldn´t be) who praises the next big hits from their stars (especially when even the producer it´s not gonna be as good as ATRC)

dude, you really need to get to Europe more often, I haven't heard the word 'dork' since I was 8 years old and my friend stole my pencil sharpener

No, I never got it back

Seriously though Dave, from someone who's part of media with dance (ivibes.nu) As good as it is to receive the plaudits from fans on boards like this, there's always going to be someone who'll be just as happy to put you down, and retorts like that will only encourage them. Guess it depends if you just wanna get kicks out of people, but be careful not to get an outspoken reputation for it

OK!

This is just getting pathetic!

Come on people,it seems that you have nothing better than to bitch all day and HATE,everything that you here is commercial and if wasn't commercial you won't probably hear it (that's the real undergroud)
every track that you are trying to sign on a label is commercial and all are trying to make money for a living so stop being hypocrites !

For this track I have no idea what they did but it doesn't metter
cheesy or not you don't need to bitch about it cuz it won't help you and I really doubt how you would act if it was you.
we can fight till tomorrow and nothing will change but what really metters to me is this qoute:

that's what really metter, an artist is happy that his works touched people even tho all the mp3 shit and that (which is impossible to kill)

So I suggest you learn to respect people and not just artist every single fellowman cuz TA is in lack of resect for fellowman.

Peace ,

/m0sh
