"Ricky Simmonds and Steven Jones, 2 names which have appeared over and over again under their numerous guises including Space Brothers, Ascension, and Lustral, as well as others, have been producing since 1995. With their first release under "Chakra" titled I Am, they instantly saw recognition with the quality of their work, seeing Danny Howells and Salt Tank amongst others to remix their work. Since then they have embarked on a journey to put out release after release under various guises to seal off a continued success through the late 90s and into 2002.
Whether it is the uplifting euphoric vocal styles of "Space Brothers" and "Ascension", or a more chugging progressive style under Chakra, or even some slightly chilled breakbeat trance from their Lustral guise, they have made an impact on everyone from John Digweed, to Paul Oakenfold and beyond.
Their success in 2002 is continued, with their recent releases of "For a Lifetime" and the upcoming "This is Not a Breakdown" under "The Realm" Guise. 2002 is also a year where a few of their unreleased tracks, namely their production of "Broken" and several others look likely to see a release.
