because they are intimidated by the xbox and they are sad they wasted money on a ps2. If you notice, its ALWAYS the PS2 fans that start flaming Xbox and saying it sucks. And all the ps2 fans are so hardcore about their system, but its really not a good. Any game that is out on PS2 and on Xbox as well, Xbox's version is way better. WHen Xbox throws out a game title, it really makes it worth it. PS2 just throws out tons of title and only about 40% if not less of those are acutally worth it. Xbox has a Built in Hardrive, listen to your own soundtracks in games. PS2 has to stick with boring game soundtracks. Sure you have to pay for the DVD kit on xbox, but you get a remote controller as well so its no big deal. 4 people can play on xbox, ps2 is limited to 2. lets just compare system stats shall we

The better system is obviously Xbox. Ps2 users often whine "halo is the only thing good enough on xbox" They dont realize though that today, most of the titles on Xbox shit on ps2 titles. really, what really good games do Ps2 have that Xbox dosent? Ide say only Gran Turismo Series and maybe FF. two game? Xbox has Halo, Dead or alive 3, and now ninja gaiden. Rallisport is really matching up against gran turismo, only disadvantage is that its only rally. But you got Project Gotham 2 which is very nice as well.
EDIT: and the only reason Gamecube sells more its because is a children's game console with nothing but E rated games. Just a fad.

albertoR, you can compare them all you want, but they were made for different markets, PS2 was made purely for console gamers and was to directly compete with the Dreamcast (which in my eyes was a better system). The Xbox was made for the PC gamer who didn't have enough money for a gaming PC, sure it was also made to compete with the PS2 but even Bill Gates said they weren't ready to overtake Sony in this endeavor. Now on to you negatives about the PS2, yeah they do release alot of crap games, but they also release alot of games for variety, the whole reason why it's still around. Next, who gives a rats ass about uploading music onto the silly hard drive to listen to your own soundtrack, simply mute the TV and play the music off your computer, radio or stereo. Now onto something you failed to mention the installed user base, PS2 is way higher then Xbox and don't give me that it's because it's been out a year longer, even if Xbox and PS2 released at the same time it would still be way behind numbers wise (if they released at the same time though my guess is that Xbox would be on top cause it is a far superior machine). Lastly, alot of games come out on both systems that aren't exactly exclusive case in point GTA series and Splinter Cell, but look how long it took for GTA to come out on the Xbox to how long it took SC to come out on PS2, 1 year GTA, 6 Months SC. As for the killer games PS2 has many that you forgot to mention; Devil May Cry, Jak and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, online play for all EA sports titles, Socom and then the soon to be released Killzone.
